Maybe shecky can tell us what’s the difference between 1/6 and this past weekend riots, the only difference I see is that police and NG are authorized to use strong force rubber bullets and so on but I don’t see any cops being beaten by American flags

There are several differences. One being the length. This has gone on for about 5 days now, which is the reason for the NG and the strong force. 1/6 riot lasted several hours. You don’t think if it lasted a little longer stronger measures would have been taken? Maybe they aren’t using American flags in LA, but bricks and Molotov cocktails instead.

Even the Los Angeles Police Chief, Jim McDonnell, made it clear: the people protesting immigration raids were not the ones causing violence.
During a Sunday evening press conference, McDonnell condemned the violence as “disgusting” and emphasized that those responsible were not the peaceful protesters demonstrating against ICE. He said the violent actors were “people who do this all the time,” not the individuals exercising their First Amendment rights during the day.
He affirmed what we already knew: the ones breaking windows and starting chaos weren’t the ones demanding justice, they were opportunists hijacking the moment.
Let’s not let anyone twist that. We are working now with others to see how many we can confirm are MAGA. We are proud of the resistance!!!! Very proud. ✊💚

😂 they broke into the chambers they broke into offices and no I don’t believe that the same measures would’ve been taken against all those Americans after all no one can say that was a bunch of illegal aliens beating cops, you don’t think that 1/6 was violent enough to have gotten the NG or marines involved?
so hilarious to see trump talking about using troops/force if protesters spit on law enforcement when he pardoned the people that beat cops with flags, batons, bear spray, etc.

I didn’t say it wasn’t violent enough. Read what I wrote again. I said it didn’t last long enough. It was like 5 hours. How are you going to assess the situation and deploy marines in under 5 hours? It’s just logistics. had it gone on for days, had they occupied the capital for 24 hours and no order was restored and still remained occupied, 100% national guard and armed forces would have arrived. But not in a few hours.

Ok I understand and that makes sense! But I’m not positive or believe the same force would of been used to disperse them or remove them from Capitol
Just maybe authorities considered more the makeup of the rioters in determining to use kids gloves on the rioters! But an insurrection or invasion like this weekend and let’s get the NG and Marines to disperse them, that’s fuckface and Nazi miller’s assessment that this is an invasion and LA has crumbled

Requests were made early on for National Guard but were turned down by the White House. They could have been onsite quickly. L.A is an overreaction to distract from the other immigration bullshit.

Another difference between the two is that trump refers to the 1/6 crowd that he assembled, instigated, and dispatched to attack the Capitol & stop the certification of the election as "patriots", whereas he & his admin are currently referring to the LA crowd as "insurrectionists" (it makes sense though, since they want to use this situation to invoke the Insurrection Act, which as irony would have it, was the master plan behind 1/6 as well)

"The response had nothing to do with the issues. They didn’t talk about one of those issues, they didn’t have a conversation about one of those issues. They didn’t debate any one of those issues. All that we heard were personal attacks and threats that nobody else should try to use their microphones or voice in public or they’ll be shut down. Now that’s not allowed in this country that we call America. Am I right or am I wrong? Part of free speech is open discussion. Part of democracy is healthy public discourse. The name-calling is so beneath us. Bruce has always been as pro-American with his values and liberty, and his justice has always remained intact. And I’m saying this now to be sure this freedom to speak will still exist in a year or two when we come back to this microphone.”

Well, we don't know the whole story, do we? If the cops told her to move and she didn't, shit can happen. And, if she was deeply entrenched with the rioting mob, that's a very dangerous place to put oneself in. According to the story, the latter seems likely: "Only about an hour before, Tomasi had been caught in a group of protesters while covering the raids. Exploding flashbang grenades can be heard as Tomasi conducts a live shot before protesters begin yelling at her and grabbing the camera she is talking into.

You're fooling yourself if you think the rest of the western countries are siding with Trump on any of this.

First America deprived non-citizens of due process, and Americans cheered for it because those people were brown.
