“ They come to Home Depot because that’s where they know the undocumented immigrants are. We are just here trying to live and work. We come here in peace (by blowing up trucks to show them). We deserve to be here.”
Sounds like demo speak for “we are knowingly breaking the law.”
Facts: - Governor Gavin Newsom and Mayor Karen Bass both publicly stated they did not request National Guard assistance. - Under normal circumstances, National Guard deployment requires state approval unless the Insurrection Act is invoked, which Trump has not done. - The Department of Homeland Security claimed “about 1,000 rioters” were involved. Reuters explicitly stated: “That number could not be independently verified.” - No arrests, property damage, or injuries matched the scale of that claim in public records or independent media. - LAPD and local sheriffs reported protests were largely peaceful, especially during the day before Trump escalation. - Some tensions flared in Paramount and downtown LA, but no reports of organized looting or widespread property destruction emerged. - Reporters on the ground, including from LAist, KPCC, and Reuters, reported being tear-gassed or pushed back despite clearly identifying themselves. - Multiple journalists were caught on camera saying “We’re press!” as flash-bangs or tear gas were deployed nearby. - Video footage and timeline analysis show a flash-bang grenade thrown into debris shortly before a car caught fire. - No evidence has emerged that protesters intentionally started that fire. - Video footage reviewed by The Guardian and Washington Post showed flash-bangs, tear gas, and rubber bullets deployed against protesters without clear provocation. - Protesters were often seen dispersing or shielding themselves, not advancing aggressively. - Trump placed the National Guard under federal control (Title 10), bypassing state authority a rare and provocative move that violates the Tenth Amendment unless the Insurrection Act is formally invoked.

Thank you for posting these facts. They can all be verified without little effort.
Sure, there are always going to be some in every crowd who will turn to violence (including those who are doing so to make the peaceful protesters look bad). But most protesters are doing what is allowed in a democracy and are non-violent. I'm glad to know most people here understand that. (The few who don't understand that or deny it are off my radar, so I don't care about them.)
Sure they were mostly peaceful, but if they burn one car, shut down one highway, trump has all he needs to send in troops.
The terrible irony is, in many areas, a huge portion Latino population voted for trump.
and why the heck do they wave Mexican flags, a place so terrible, they had to leave to allegedly enter the US illegally. If it’s so great, theyll give you a thousand bucks to go back.
Wikipedia also describes it as a riot. I know they’re not an official source of news, but just saying it isn’t just Fox.
“On June 6, protests against the raids turned into street riots when protestors clashed with the Los Angeles Police Department and ICE.”
Besides blocking roads, they also hurled concrete, bricks and set cars on fire. And allegedly a Molotov cocktail was thrown at police. Obviously the majority of people gathered were not engaged in vandalism and violence, but how many does it need to e to go from a protest to a riot? In my opinion, I think when people from the group start throwing deadly objects and police and set cars on fire, you’ve crossed that line.

Who was your preferred dem candidate who would have done a better job with immigration than Kamala, the choice foisted on you by the Brandon deceiving deep state?
You guys actually back this clown? And probably voted for him? Seriously?
At 5:06 p.m. this evening, Trump’s social media account posted: “A once great American City, Los Angeles, has been invaded and occupied by Illegal Aliens and Criminals. Now violent, insurrectionist mobs are swarming and attacking our Federal Agents to try and stop our deportation operations—But these lawless riots only strengthen our resolve. I am directing Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, and Attorney General Pam Bondi, in coordination with all other relevant Departments and Agencies, to take all such action necessary to liberate Los Angeles from the Migrant Invasion, and put an end to these Migrant riots. Order will be restored, the Illegals will be expelled, and Los Angeles will be set free.” He followed this statement with that odd closing he has been using lately: “Thank you for your attention to this matter!”

correction, a user of wikipedia said that.
There is a fact-checking process and they are still facts. Did they not burn cars or throw bricks at police? Throwing bricks and burning cars = riot.

Backing who? Trump? How is criticism of vandalism police cars, burning cars, throwing bricks backing Trump? Riots did breakout during the LA protests. Don’t know why some refuse to admit that. I really don’t know what that conversation has to do with Trump or who you voted for.

Come on. Is this really where you ended up on this?

I didn’t say anything about it being a riot, it was, or not. I’m pointing out the clown in the Oval Office and how you’re being played. It’s okay to admit that you voted for COOTWH.
Read COOTWH’s tweet. You okay with it, Mace? You’re all in, aren’t you?

So….i think it’s really dumb that they do that as well. Imagine immigrants clashing with police and flying the American flag….much better optics. But of course it doesn’t surprise me that they don’t think things through.
