I'm as unhappy as ever about this current administration, but by not being as obsessed with and over-indulging in current events as I was for a long time, I'm a healthier, and probably more likeable, person than I was for far too long.

There is also a difference between what we saw. Some people noticed things that were questionable and spoke up and were treated a certain way and then there were others that explained it away as the usual, "He has a stutter, what about/now do Trump, he's a gaffe machine", etc.

It didn't mention cognitive decline.

I took that post as: people were "worried" about Biden's age (81) until he dropped out, but okay with with old man (78) staying in.

My opinion, in which I'm fine with being wrong, and sounding like a broken record at this point, is that age wasn't an issue as much as President Biden's decline was. Stories have been around for a while and with the election being lost to the other party, there'll be more info to come.

His presidency was greatly sheltered for a reason, and the majority of democrats didn’t even notice. I'm just glad the great awakening finally occurred, albeit far too late.

I was not old enough to be paying attention to politics during reagan’s second term. I, and seemingly others here seem to have witnessed troubling signs before the debate in this instance, however. I’m all for age limits. It’s the logical thing to do, imo.

The last year of his presidency. The fact that the debate performance was so horrific, so off the charts terrible is evidence that they hid his condition. No one outside of hardcore republicans saw that coming, and I think even trump was surprised it was that bad, based on his reactions during the debate.. Also, administration members now fighting back Tappers book are “anonymous” not willing to go on the record when defending Biden. Interesting.

Kamala Harris was neither of those things.

I'm talking about who was elected and ultimately Kamala was screwed because she was attached to Biden and had no way to separate herself from what was perceived as a "cover-up" regarding his cognitive functionality. I don't blame her because it's not like she could say, yeah, he's losing it, but let's keep him in until the election is over. This is a case where Biden needed to swallow his pride, step aside and put Kamala in charge until after the election. That scenario was never going to happen though.

Well...we saw that on TV a lot too. He was sharp at times. He was sharp a few weeks ago on live TV.

He didn't trail off from a speech and start talking about sharks and magnets or how millions of people were dying in Ukraine. Or how Ukraine started a war, etc.
