It is absolutely insane to play Wreckage and not Waiting for Stevie.
It's insane to play a song that hit number one at multiple formats instead of a song that spent one week in the top ten at one format?
Dude it’s every show the entire tour.
I know. I saw it ten times in ten shows last year. It didn't bother me. It's the most popular song from their current album. Of course, they're playing it every night.
That’s a cool stat but it sure as hell doesn’t feel like the most popular when they play it. DM still gets the biggest response as far as new songs in my experience

They are playing DM every night too though.
I know. Point is if there’s one new song that’s played every night, that seems to have the most justification
There's a difference between one's subjective opinion of a song and an objective assessment of its appeal. The former is personal and will depend on an individual's particular taste and experience, whereas the latter is something we can try to measure. "Wreckage" reached an audience that "Dark Matter" didn't reach and wasn't likely to reach. (In general, the heavier the song, the narrower the potential audience. There's a reason why "Sweet Child O' Mine" and "November Rain" were bigger hits than "Welcome to the Jungle.") "Wreckage" and "Dark Matter" are also different kinds of songs that aren't necessarily going to elicit the same type of response in a live setting, but that doesn't necessarily mean that people are enjoying one more than the other. "Dark Matter" has a fist-pumping chorus that people can shout along with; "Wreckage" is a midtempo song that people can groove to even if it doesn't bring out the fist-pumping response. Anyway, there's really no mystery as to why they play it every night.
The few times I’ve heard WFS live it’s sounded great but different every time. I’m convinced they can’t get the timing right and they don’t like how it sounds. I hope they figure it out, the song has so much live potential.
It's one of the songs I listen to less and less. It's very a very basic radio rock song with a great solo. Wreckage is one of the highlights on the album despite it being so accessible. It's a song that can bring in new fans.

There may be an objective argument to be made for Wreckage being widely more popular but it’s not translating to a live show. No one’s saying they should stop playing it but maybe dial it down a notch and just play it one night during a two show stand.

Kind of like getaway
I’ve caught Stevie a few times live and think it sounds way better live than getaway ever did.

Yea it was nuts. Msg2 was shaping up to be a classic but EV couldn’t help himself and ruined it with an awful, awful encore. Leash was the only bright spot
