Wife's photos, the 'bday girl' from night 1. I am a huge Springsteen fan (always traveled from Brasil to see him), but had only 2 pearl jam shows (2005/2011). After the April 24th dead center in the pit (maybe 5 people behind) , it seems I found my new addiction. Great, great show.
I feel like I’m in the minority here but the folks around me in GA last night agreed, the sound in GA leaves a lot to be desired. Because they didn’t aim the highs down at us, all we got was bass and mids, terrible sound engineering. You have Jeff, stone and Ed’s voice all low in the mix, and no treble whatsoever. We couldn’t even hear the lyrics until Ed’s range got above the lows in the mix, half of most songs he was drowned out, and most of stones guitar work was muddy and just blended in with the rest of the lows. Very bad sound- we were all about 10-15 feet dead center stage.
Something tells me they engineered their sound check to the seats about 30 feet off the floor, where I’m guessing the sound was superb.
Don’t take away from my experience, which was a good one overall, but it was startlingly poor, we could barely make out the riffs in wishlist- the guy from Argentina next to me actually thought they skipped the parts because we couldn’t hear the high notes. I had to point at Mike and say, “no, he’s playing it now, you can see him playing with the volume dial on his strat”
It did sound fantastic in the 300 Level on N1. Better than any Arena show I have been too. N2 in the 200 Level sounded just as great.
To the drunk ahole in 202 row H… I’m glad they didn’t play Elderly… your yelling in between songs & while Eddie was talking was insufferable… get a f’ing life.
Amen to that! My friend and I were in 202 row K behind him, and it was incredibly obnoxious. What a chode. At one point his significant other put her hand up to his mouth to shush him. Possibly even worse, though, was the dips**t behind him who was incensed at one of Ed's stories and complained, "What is he even talking about? Come on, play another banger!" I'll never understand how anyone can possibly be disappointed to hear an E.V. story... and if you are, keep it to yourself because we certainly didn't pay good money to listen to YOUR dumb a*s.
I noticed the "new" DTE footage as well. I wonder if it included clips from other McFarlane works, or perhaps even discarded clips from the music video.

EDIT - CORRECTION - it was played after the encore, between Footsteps & Want To Be A Rock & Roll Star.
Has anyone else noticed the new video footage for DTE on this tour? It looked very unfamiliar to me.
