HAVE YOU REWATCHED THE RELIC YET IN OUR FILM CLUB?

Can a movie be any darker?

^getting excited. But I have stopped watching second trailers for fear of spoilers.

I have not rewatched Relic yet. Saw it in the theater. Enjoyed it as a good creature feature. I bet it was a young ass Tom Sizemore. And Penelope Ann Miller for all you Kindergarten Cop fans.

Anyone who is a fan of the book series Relic is based on will be disappointed. In an odd choice they completely sideline the hero of the series, Agent Pendergast. Instead, top billing is given to Sizemore’s character who is also in the book.

Probably makes sense as Sizemore was not going to pull off Pendergast’s Sherlock Holmes vibes. Works for the movie but I can imagine the authors of the book were puzzled/frustrated.

Hmm. Curious about the book now. Will see if my library has it!

And I mean for every The Relic you don’t feel like re-visiting there is a TimeCop to watch. THAT IS THE MAGIC OF PETER HYAMS.

Relic has a sequel book as well. They are not high literature, but decent page turners.

You have to watch Timecop for the Van Damme kitchen split!

Hehe. Have seen it a plenty. But will see it again soon enough.

Wanna revist Hyams 2010 and the Sean Connery lead Outlander

did a double feature last night. Catching up on my Marvel. I had watched Ragnarok before, but didn't remember it at all.

    Left:

    Ant-Man and Wasp
    Captain Marvel
    Shang Chi
    Enternals
    Black Panther Wakanda
    Ant Man/Wasp Quantumania
    The Marvels
    Captain America Brave New World

Gotta say I know why many of those are still unwatched. I recall pretty bad reviews for several of them.

My 10 year old is getting into marvel movies. Seen a few of the in the last couple of weeks. Some of them for the first time, and some of them I remembered none of it. But they're more fun than I remembered, hadn't watched any in a really long time.

Antman and the Wasp plus Shang Chi are great! Wakanda Forever is worth it for Angela Basset.

Wakanda Forever is very good, and I really enjoyed Shang Chi, Captain Marvel, and The Marvels. The 2 Ant Man movies are ok, but The Eternals was too long and pretty boring.
