Yeah, I guess I would be miserable too if someone pulled all my teeth out of my head.

    How is Pancakes doing?

Today he looks even more miserable. I'm guessing the medication has wore off a bit.
He is eating and drinking, so that's good.

Poor baby. It’s a good sign that he is eating and drinking.

Pancakes didn't eat for a few days. He looked awful. This evening he finally had some GERBER BABY FOOD. Hopefully he continues eating and does not go backwards again.

I hope so. I know that baby food can help when they won’t eat. But I hope he goes back to eating soon. He shouldn’t still be in much pain. But he may be a bit traumatized.

He had some food this morning, and he is showing signs of being his old self. He seems to like the Gerber baby food. Haha

Yesterday he ate the turkey and this morning it's chicken.

Maybe try mixing the baby food with a little wet cat food to get him eating cat food again. Baby food doesn’t have all the nutrients they need for it too be long term. But it is good short term solution.

Awesome!! I really hope he feels better soon. It’s stressful when they are not feeling well - for them and us.

Kathy has been working with him 24-7. Ha
Finally, after much encouragement, he started eating again. And the "little one", Cupcakes, has been acting like a complete idiot ever since Pancakes returned from the vet.
I've been referring to it as Cupcakes "reign of terror". Hahaha

Cupcake taking advantage of a weakened adversary... savage move, but you have to respect it.

When we brought Nuala in, we were afraid Chains (who had been with us almost 7 years by then) was too timid and would let Nuala run all over her.... one day out of the blue we saw Nuala acting a lot more apprehensive around Chains, and taking the long way to walk around her etc - it was a very noticeable change in behavior out of nowhere... we came to the conclusion that Chains must have put Nuala in her place one day when we weren't around, and I'm just fine with that.

The "Little One" has never in her life had the opportunity to be "In Charge". Well she certainly has taken advantage of her little opportunity. Haha

She growls at him, she hisses, she has taken over his food dishes, she has gained control of his spot on the table, where he lays in the Sun.

How did you arrive at those names?
We adopted a pair of bonded cats back in 2016 for whom I came up with the names Alice & Chains (their foster names were Cherry & Jujifruit, so yeah... there are worse names out there for cats than Alice & Chains  :D

Alice passed in spring of 2022, and we brought Nuala into the fold around Christmas of that year... her foster name was Nova, which we definitely didn't like & I wanted to go with something Irish, so we landed w/ Nuala.

Finally, after much encouragement, he started eating again. And the "little one", Cupcakes, has been acting like a complete idiot ever since Pancakes returned from the vet.
I've been referring to it as Cupcakes "reign of terror". Hahaha
I love when diligence pays off, so gratifying. I'm sure the reign of terror Ha will subside considersbly once the princess realizes all is well.
Yeah, the "Cupcake Dynasty" won't last long, but it will last long enough to create havoc throughout the land.

But one thing is for sure, once the big guy feels better, the little one is gonna get a nice big swift kick in the ass. Hahaha
You hate to see it.  =)

Nuala has an easy 2lb advantage over Chains, but Chains f'ing owns her when she wants to. I love it.
Cupcakes is a sweet, little, dainty, angel. She is all female. Pancakes is Deniro in Raging Bull. He is as tough as nails, and as dumb as a box of rocks. I have a pair of socks that are smarter than Pancakes.
Both of mine are dramatic little shits who are way too smart for everyone's good.

    Love the Deniro comparison.
Pancakes outweighs Cupcakes by 13-15 lbs.
But Cupcakes is the "brains of the outfit".
Pancakes walks around all day looking confused and stoned. Hahaha

    Nuala and Chains
How did you arrive at those names?
We adopted a pair of bonded cats back in 2016 for whom I came up with the names Alice & Chains (their foster names were Cherry & Jujifruit, so yeah... there are worse names out there for cats than Alice & Chains  :D

Alice passed in spring of 2022, and we brought Nuala into the fold around Christmas of that year... her foster name was Nova, which we definitely didn't like & I wanted to go with something Irish, so we landed w/ Nuala.
Changing the names is a must. Tristan's original name was Ace. Daisy's was Bertha (WTF kind of name is that for a kitten). Lukin was Simon.

AWW! So cute. Daisy is not far behind. She still has some teeth, but had to get a bunch pulled last year. I hope she can keep the ones she has left. Too bad they can't get dental implants. I wonder what that would cost!!
