He was the kindest animal I’ve ever known.  Never hissed, groaned or swiped at anyone.  Very happy guy who was always wanting to be petted.  I miss him a lot.
I wish I was a sacrifice, but somehow still lived on.

This morning was a struggle, to say the least. Pancakes is going in for dental work, that should have been taken care of a month ago. Getting his fatass into the carrier was a BATTLE! This little adventure is gonna cost me around $1500. Add that to the $1200 dental work he had done last year? I've spent more money on Pancakes dental work in the last 13 months, than I have spent on my own dental work in the past 5 years. Ugh

I did get lucky though. The surgeon was in office today, and there was an available time slot. Last time it took 2 visits to get the dental work done. So hopefully all goes well, he has his oral surgery, the medication makes him free of pain, and in 7 to 10 days he is back to normal. Normal being, eating like a slob and sleeping 18 hours a day. Just like me!

Poor Pancakes. Daisy needed that extensive dental work last year. Took her over a week to get back to normal. I hate to see them in pain.

What I do for the carrier is that the night before I bring it into the bathroom. Then when I carry them in the bathroom I shut the door and they can’t escape or hide anywhere I can’t get to them. Luckily both Daisy and Lukin are easy to get in the carrier. Tristan used to be hard. He would spread out his legs and squirm like crazy.

Pancakes is a strong animal. He latched on to the couch and that was that. War was declared. I struggled and Kathy had to put down the carrier and unhook him from the couch. Kathy has her arm that was surgically repaired last month, and I have my bad arm/hand. Geez, it was a struggle. Haha

Yeah, I guess I would be miserable too if someone pulled all my teeth out of my head.

That is what I felt like after Daisy had her dental. It was not as extensive as Pancakes, but it was hard to see her so miserable for so many days. Luckily they feel better in about a week or so. Hang in there.

Today he looks even more miserable. I'm guessing the medication has wore off a bit.
He is eating and drinking, so that's good.
