Who was that fucking moron who asked about the suit? “Many Americans are bothered by your dress”. If that’s their big concern, the propaganda machine has clearly worked .
President Zelenskyy showed up in London 24 hours later and was given a well deserved royal welcome. Neither of these gentlemen gave the other any guff about clothing. Right on, UK!

I’m sure they’d counter with “he’s not president” or “it wasn’t during official meetings” or some shit. Hypocrisy doesn’t matter to these slugs.
I like how Zelenskyy dresses like a man of the people. Something that can’t be understood by the elite-but-not-elite maga bullies that put themselves above the common man.
"every society honours its live conformists and its dead troublemakers"
Again, ignorance. They were fighting Russian separatists in the region.
The US is in a proxy war in Ukraine and Ukraine is getting destroyed as a result of it along with a lot of death. The people of Donbas had an election to become independent and the US staged a coup. Besides WW2 when was the last time we were involved in a war and the country turned out ok?
Two questions for you:
1. Do you believe the Ukrainian citizens are against this war (think Kiev, Karkhiv, Dnipro, etc, not Donbas) and would prefer to be a vassal state of Russia? Or do you think they want to be independent, therefore they are fighting a war? Remember the Russians have pushed well past Donbas and wanted Kiev. So don't act like this is just about Donbas. If it was, the Russians could have just fortified the east exactly like they did Crimea.
2. Why do you think that a region in a country can just vote to make themselves independent? Would we allow that to happen? Would Canada allow Quebec to break-away? In what world do you live in where that could happen? Yes Donbas is primarily Russian speaking, but that was because of the massive emigration over the past 30 years. If they want to be Russian, go back to Russia. Ukraine should not ever just let them secede, and then take up arms against Kiev.
It's just amazing how you can think this way without drawing any comparatives to the rest of the West and how it/we would react to these very situations. I might remind you that no...we would not let a region just secede. Let me know if you need the exact situation where that was attempted.
I just want to point out that yes, Canada would 100% allow Quebec to vote for its independence and break away. It has already happened twice, and a third time is never off the table. So far, Quebecers have narrowly (once VERY narrowly) voted to stay a part of Canada. Canadians were glad it went that way, but we were and are prepared for Quebec to choose its own destiny.
Quebec was obviously allowed to hold those referendums. But even if a yes vote went through, leaving would ne contingent on an economic agreement with Canada. I imagine this might be what he’s referring to us not letting them leave. We’d likely make it extremely difficult for them to leave.

I don't agree with that at all. Quebec would make it extremely difficult for itself by leaving, but I absolutely don't think Canada would go out of its way to make it even harder for them. I don't think there has ever been anything to even come close to indicating that it would. It would only benefit the new form of Canada to cooperate closely with a new nation of Quebec and nothing has ever suggested otherwise. All that's been made very clear is that Canada very much wants to remain united. If it didn't Canada woukd have to be cooperqtove given the geographical realities of an independent Quebec. Of course, let's hope we never get to prove who's right. Luckily, this issue isn't a major point of debate at the moment.

I'm all for political leaders wearing business attire on the job but, unlike Trump, Zelenskyy's current situation doesn't allow him to sit around on his ass in his office issuing proclamations. He's president of a country that's a war zone. He's running around from the front lines to foreign capitals desperately trying to save his country.
An intriguing analysis has been circulating online regarding the psychological aspects of Zelensky’s meeting with Trump and Vance, conducted using ChatGPT.
From this analysis, it becomes evident that we have witnessed a true masterclass in gaslighting, manipulation, and coercion on the part of Trump and his entourage. Let’s break down the key points:
1. Blaming the victim for their own situation
Trump explicitly tells Zelensky: “You have allowed yourself to be in a very bad position.” This is classic abuser rhetoric—blaming the victim for their suffering. The implication is that Ukraine itself is responsible for being occupied by Russia and for the deaths of its people.
2. Pressure and coercion into ‘gratitude’
Vance demands that Zelensky say “thank you.” This is an extremely toxic tactic—forcing the victim to express gratitude for the help they desperately need, only to later accuse them of ingratitude if they attempt to assert their rights.
3. Manipulating the concept of ‘peace’
Trump claims that Zelensky is “not ready for peace.” However, what he actually means is Ukraine’s capitulation. This is a classic manipulation technique—substituting the idea of a just peace with the notion of surrender.
4. Refusing to acknowledge the reality of war
Trump repeatedly insists that Zelensky has “no cards to play” and that “without us, you have nothing.” This is yet another abusive tactic—undermining the victim’s efforts by asserting that they are powerless without the mercy of their ‘saviour.’
5. Devaluing the victims of war
“If you get a ceasefire, you must accept it so that bullets stop flying and your people stop dying,” Trump says. Yet, he ignores the fact that a ceasefire without guarantees is merely an opportunity for Russia to regroup and strike again.
6. Dominance tactics
Trump constantly interrupts Zelensky, cutting him off: “No, no, you’ve already said enough,” and “You’re not in a position to dictate to us.” This is deliberate psychological pressure designed to establish a hierarchy in which Zelensky is the subordinate.
7. Forcing capitulation under the guise of ‘diplomacy’
Vance asserts that “the path to peace lies through diplomacy.” This is a classic strategy where the aggressor is given the opportunity to continue their aggression unchallenged.
8. Projection and distortion of reality
Trump declares: “You are playing with the lives of millions of people.” Yet, in reality, it is he who is doing exactly that—shifting responsibility onto Zelensky.
9. Creating the illusion that Ukraine ‘owes’ the US
Yes, the US is assisting Ukraine, but presenting this aid as “you must obey, or you will receive nothing” is not a partnership—it is financial and military coercion.
10. Undermining Ukraine’s resistance
Trump states that “if it weren’t for our weapons, this war would have ended in two weeks.” This is an attempt to erase Ukraine’s achievements and portray its efforts as entirely dependent on US support.
Conclusion
Trump and his team employed the full spectrum of abusive tactics: gaslighting, victim-blaming, coercion into gratitude, and manipulation of the concepts of peace and diplomacy. This was not a negotiation—it was an attempt to force Zelensky into accepting terms beneficial to the US but potentially fatal for Ukraine.

Everyone should be disgusted by that play in the Oval. The US as the whiny little bitch that it is. With its nuclear weapons, “best military the world has ever seen,” it’s GDP, protected by two oceans and all its freedoms and COOTWH was the little whiny bitch. Couldn’t smile for the cameras and take it private. Nope, had to show the world what a domineering, smug, asshole tough guy he is. Only thing missing was the snap of the suit jacket. Thanks ‘Murica. Fucking disgusting display but it’s our reflection. Nice.
Exactly my theory from yesterday; Vance played that idiot trump like a fiddle:
“It smacks of an ambush, that JD Vance knew what he was doing,” Democratic Sen. Richard Blumenthal, who met earlier Friday with Zelensky, said after the explosive Oval Office meeting. “He probably anticipated Trump would rise to the bait, so to speak, and that Zelensky was basically laying out the betrayal and the dishonesty of Putin,” the Connecticut senator said, referring to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

You know, this isn't all happening just because Trump is enamored of Putin. Trump also hates Zelenskyy because Zelenskyy refused to do Trump's bidding when Trump asked him to dig up dirt on Biden, which led to Trump's first impeachment. A lot of Trump's supporters don't realize just how much his policies are a function of his personal grievances and nothing else. Ukraine will pay the price for Trump's malignant narcissism.
sadly, Trump has the billionaires on his side. These assholes control the internet, social media networks, and media outlets. So, while public outrage is happening at the local level, it will never be communicated on the macro level. The rest of the world will think all Americans are ok with this when in reality, only about 30% are. The rest are silenced by those who control the airwaves.
