Elon Musk speaks at the Cabinet meeting:

“We will make mistakes. We won't be perfect. But when we make mistakes, we'll fix it very quickly. For example…USAID, one of the things we accidentally canceled very briefly was Ebola prevention. I think we all want Ebola prevention, so we restored the Ebola prevention immediately and there was no interruption.”

Musk: "We accidentally canceled Ebola prevention... we need to move quickly for a $1T deficit reduction."

So, we're accidentally cutting disease prevention, while the GOP budget increases the debt by trillions.

Does he think everyone is stupid?

Q: A young child just died of measles in Texas. Do you have a comment?

RFK Jr.: It's not unusual. We have measles outbreaks all the time

(This is the first Measles death in the US in 10 years)

“Lapdog vice-president.” A seething op-ed from JD Vance’s hometown paper, the Ohio Capital Journal, is not impressed by his first few weeks in a “nondescript role as an appendage in the Trump-Musk administration."

Another criminal defense lawyer for Donald Trump, John Sauer, says he'll consult career DOJ ethics officials about his many potential conflicts of interest if confirmed.

    The issue?

Donald Trump removed them all. Watch:

    I understand.

I'll see if I can find a transcript as it's a video. The post above seems misleading, to me, as outbreaks in Texas was at the beginning of the question and RFK Jr's answer, around 45 seconds in duration, was in response to the question of outbreaks and that they are not usual, "We have measles breakouts all the time."

The below doesn't seem like an accurate take of the exchange, but maybe some people would disagree:

Quick Medicaid facts: Federal Medicaid $$ is sent to state governments in block grants. The states then manage and distribute benefits and payments. Some states rebranded Medicaid or “Obamacare” to reduce the stigma of using public insurance. So Medicaid is called “Apple Care” in WA, “Tenncare” in TN, “MassHealth” in MA, and so on.

To reduce Medicaid waste & fraud, would require state-level healthcare audits. The spending doesn’t happen at the federal level.

that was from video of the cabinet meeting.

what was pasted is roughly accurate leaving a chunk in between out. but he does in fact say that.

Okay. It's the beginning of the question, "There's a measles outbreak in Texas at the moment," not being represented in the post and around 35-40 sec of his answer not being represented and the last five seconds being "It's not unusual. We have measles outbreaks all the time," that I have an issue with. That's a massive chunk with only an 1:03 exchange.

images of the memo in the post...

Because cruelty is the point, OMB and OPM are requiring Agencies to conduct large scale reductions while also telling them to submit a waiver that allows them to halve the notification period to employees. RIF procedures require a minimum of 60 days written notification to employees, and they are encouraging reducing it to 30 on page 7 of the memo

    he'll vote to confirm regardless....

Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA) on Wednesday warned Justice Department nominees to always follow court rulings after they suggested the president could simply ignore the courts in some instances.

“Don’t ever, ever take the position that you’re not going to follow the order of a federal court, ever,” Sen. Kennedy said at a Judiciary Committee confirmation hearing.

“Now, you can disagree with it, within the bounds of legal ethics, you can criticize it,  you can appeal it, or you can resign.”
