Yep that was the one.Merkin Baller said:
Was that w/ Screaming Trees? I was too young at the time to get myself there. (turned 15 that spring)Poncier said:The one that stands out to me though is when AIC played The Channel in Boston in 92. Figured I could just grab tix any time...nope.
I would kill to be able to go back in time for that one. This weekend we rock Portland0 -

Yeah, overall I'm a very grateful music fan. There's always going to be a few I wish I made it to, but I've done pretty damn good in the decades I've been going to shows.brianlux said:There are a number of bands and artists I wish I had seen when I could, but I've seen so much great music, I tend to be more grateful for what I have seen than regretful for what I haven't.
Very cool. Merkin Baller ! Which ones that you did do to stand out the most for you in your concert resume?

Agreed, @Merkin Baller and @brianlux I usually make to-see-or-not-to-see concert decisions on the basis of "might I one day regret not going?" If the answer is 'yes' then the chase for tickets begins. Fortunately, it's worked pretty well, and there's a treasure chest's worth of shows/adventures I'm grateful to have experienced.Merkin Baller said:

Not going to England the 02 and taking my one shot at seeing Led Zeppelin. It's only money. Scalper tickets for that probably wouldn't look so bad considering how much regular tickets go for now.

Pearl Jam 9/29/96.
I flew up from Tulsa to see the 9/28 (Saturday) show and meet up with online friends from AOL. 😄
It was my second show (first was 93) and I didn't know much about seeing them a second night.
I flew home the next day to not miss work Monday at my first 'real' job.

Temple of the Dog Philly. Had tickets in my cart, but couldn't pull the trigger for some odd reason
. Ended up being a once in a lifetime opportunity given the terrible passing of the great Christ Cornell. 0 -

So earlier that year I was in Philly for both Pearl Jam shows....I just didn't feel like driving back to Philly for TOTD. Terrible decision.DE4173 said:

Live 8 and the Floyd reunion. Had the bones of a plan and just didn't pull the trigger. Figured there would be another chance. Nope.0

TOTD, my brother said if you get the gig tickets I’ll get the plane tickets from the UK. I told him that was too much for a show and we’d catch them in Europe.0

Gratitude thread reminded me of my Frog Brigade regret. Lost my mind when I saw they were taking it out again AND playing Animals. Burned a hole in those Live Frogs CDs back in the day. But we were out of town for their entire run through the northeast. Pain.0
