He is very sweet and usually pretty goofy. But he knows he is not supposed to be on that piece of furniture (he is allowed on every other piece of furniture). Whenever I catch him up there we have a staring contest before I get up and nudge him off there.

Yeah. The funny thing is when he gets on that piece of furniture he goes to that same corner and sits up and looks at me. He never lies down on it or walks around on it. He just sits straight up in that corner. Every other piece of furniture he sprawls out on. He is such a good cat though - super affectionate and playful.

I just read that cats can get bird flu. If any of you have outdoor cats that like to kill birds - maybe keep them in for a while.
Yeah my female cat was a hunter but since July they both have been indoors only! It still kills me when they both look at me and wonder why they can’t be roaming around like they use to but they are safe!

I will be taking Pancakes to the vet on Wednesday. He is old, fat, and lazy(just like me). He is showing signs of arthritis, and he has started limping. He is also obviously in some pain. The poor guy. For 4 weeks we have tried some supplements for cats, but I haven't noticed any change. Maybe a monthly injection will help. Anything to relieve the pain.

I hope the vet can help. I had a cat once that had arthritis and I gave her Dasaquin. It seemed to help. But I know that they now have this new injection for cats that is for arthritis. If you go that route let us know how it works.

Is it librella?  We do monthly injections for our dog Max. It has made a world of difference in her quality of life. Hopefully it will help Pancakes too.

I can’t remember what it was. But it was something new just for cats. For the last few months of Tristan’s life he had that injection. He didn’t have it long enough to know if it worked since I think it takes a few months and he passed before then. But it is great that your dog is getting some relief. I hope Pancakes does as well.

    Can cats see color?

Kinda weird I bought some plastic toys cause I thought I didn't have anymore and one of my cats, Kylie, like to bat them around and play fetch with them. They came but found one of the old ones that was lost (lost pretty much all color and now looks like it's light pink). Anyway she prefers to play with that one out of all the other colors. She does occasionally pay with the brighter colored one though.  So i'm guessing they can see certain colors?

I believe so… Chains definitely favors red toys over others.
