Russian President Vladimir Putin asserted last week that he’s “ready” for potential talks with President-elect Donald Trump on ending the nearly three-year-long war in Ukraine.
Putin, during a wide-ranging end-of-year news conference in Moscow, claimed that he hasn’t spoken to Trump in years and that there are no current plans for a meeting — but if they do talk, he’s ready to make “compromises” to end the war in the former Soviet state.

Promising news for sure. It would be, most importantly, an enormous win for Ukraine and its people. But even the internet militia here would have to acknowledge President-elect Trump taking swift action, keeping his word, and finding a way to end this war without Ukraine conceding its land again. Exactly what Putin means by "compromises" we shall see in due time. If it means he keeps their land, then I say we continue the proxy war against Russia, and even escalate it further. What’s promising? It’s good you are acknowledging that Ukraine should not give up land, but Putin has insisted on keeping Crimea and territories gained in this war to date. I dont see anything different in that article . And 47 calls this war more difficult to solve than the Middle East? The Putin comments are a total propaganda piece. He claims Russia is stronger now, after losing 700,000 men in the combined wars. Nice way to treat the men of your country. Maybe he could dine at mar o lago.0 -
I think any talks are promising. I know that has been Putins stance, that is why I specifically mentioned Ukraine keeping their land as part of these new potential talks and "compromises". I agree, Russia is decimated right now. Of course Putin would never admit that, but my hope is he knows that and is ready for the war to end. My opinion is, if he doesn't end the war, America should stop using Ukrainians to fight the war and we should annihilate Russia once and for all. We can't keep funding a war forever.
