Jeff Tweedy is playing 4 solo shows at Largo in Los Angeles in late December / early January.  Tickets onsale today at 10am pst.
Got tix for all four. I was kind of wishing you had waited to post this until after 10 a.m. to minimize the competition, but it worked out fine. :)

    Glad you got all four!

We are just going the first night.....seen him there at least once during each of his multi-show engagements there....always fun and the shows end early!

Love that he has a top-notch comedian open the shows!
I've had the good fortune of seeing just about all of Jeff's shows at Largo over the years, and almost always from the front row. I think I have a streak of about fifteen straight in the front row. It turns out there are only about four people in L.A. willing to get in line early enough. Thank God the Wilco audience is old people. :)
I gather speed from you fucking with me.

How early do you get there to score front row?

We usually get there right after they start assigning seats.  I always ask for aisle seats in one of the side sections.

I'm not sure I want to answer this... :)

But the answer is: early. Not overnight or anything crazy, but early. It helps that seats are assigned at 6 p.m., so you don't have to wait past that point.

Come say hi when you get there on the 29th. I'll probably be in a lawn chair with the other usual suspects.

I saw Wilco the first and second time the last two nights. I've heard so many great things about them, but am not familiar at all with their catalog. It was their "Winterlude" so two nights with no repeats.

Fantastic musicians, great crowd and amazing venue! 🔥

Very cool that you got to experience Wilco for the first time in this setting, with the whole breadth of the catalog on display.

It will most likely never happen, but it would be amazing to see Jeff and Jay bury the hatchet and do a UT tour, or at least some shows.

Not gonna happen. Jay has been dead for 15yrs now.

    Other Jay.

(But I've often joked that there will sooner be a reunion between Jeff and Jay Bennett than there will be a reunion between Jeff and Jay Farrar.)

Holy shit, what a couple of sets those were. Would probably be partial to night 2 but would have loved to have been at either one.  They have such a great, expansive catalog. Love seeing them play a bit of everything.

This AGIB box set may be even better than the YHF box (which was a 10/10 archival release). Every alternate take is unique, interesting and really fucking good.

Really enjoyed the alternates. Picked up the two cd edition this weekend.

    Such a great album.
