tschav said:Don't disagree on the general idea of limiting number of shows to put in for, but if the band can sell massive amounts of seats for multiple shows and then put it on the fans to sell at face, I don't see why they'd limit that. It'd also likely not fix the smaller tours or cities where there's high demand regardless (MSG, Wrigley, etc)0

Old Deadheads will remember going to the post office to buy f'ing postal money orders and filling out their little 3x5 cards and carefully getting eeryvthing squared away and making sure it was postmarked on the magic day and then waiting FOREVER for tix. I'll take this system, thanks

I truly believe it’s all about selling tickets to continue getting paid by larger venues. They know we’re traveling. They’ve added upper deck seats and are allowing us to enter for any show with the same odds. If there was priority, Raleigh might not have sold 10c seats in the back of the lowers.2003: Uniondale, MSG x2 | 2004: Reading | 2005: Gorge, Vancouver, Philly | 2006: East Rutherford x2, Gorge x2, Camden 1, Hartford | 2008: MSG x2, VA Beach | 2009: Philly x3 | 2010: MSG x2, Bristow | 2011: Alpine Valley x2 | 2012: MIA Philly | 2013: Wrigley, Charlottesville, Brooklyn 2 | 2014: Milan, Amsterdam 1 | 2016: MSG x2, Fenway x2, Wrigley 2 | 2018: Rome, Krakow, Berlin, Wrigley 2 | 2021: Sea Hear Now | 2022: San Diego, LA x2, MSG, Camden, Nashville, St. Louis, Denver | 2023: St. Paul 1, Chicago x2, Fort Worth x2, Austin 2 | 2024: Las Vegas 1, Seattle x2, Indy, MSG x2, Philly x2, Baltimore, Ohana 2 | 2025: Florida x2, Atlanta x2, Pittsburgh x20

I still see multiple posts in FB with people asking if there's a difference between the 10c and verified fan (or whatever its called now) or saying they signed up for one and not the other and didn't get picked in the lottery.Post edited by mace1229 on0 -
I don't have a horse in this race - i'm still in shock that they're not playing Montreal. But it does seem a little weird to me that people (like for example mcgruff) who's been going to shows for years and only puts in for one show gets shut out. Yes, i know it's not truly "weird", it's math and probability working against someone, but it seems unjust somehow lol. If it was up to me, tickets priority would be based on how much you enjoy HBO's Deadwood and your position on whether or not breweries should serve hoppy beer.
