Don't disagree on the general idea of limiting number of shows to put in for, but if the band can sell massive amounts of seats for multiple shows and then put it on the fans to sell at face, I don't see why they'd limit that. It'd also likely not fix the smaller tours or cities where there's high demand regardless (MSG, Wrigley, etc)

I did like priority, but maximizing TC tickets and having F2F is pretty damn good as well. If it's one or the other, I'd keep the latter. I do understand why people question the value of the TC membership if they can't even get tickets to shows in their area. It's a conundrum.

They could go true old school with priority and members only get 1 show a tour and that's it. Rest go to general public sale. Would almost be worth it to see peoples heads explode around here if they did that. Not sure many remember the days you only got to pick one show.
I'd be curious if fans would be more confused if they had to mail in a check to request a ticket vs doing the current process...

  • I truly believe it’s all about selling tickets to continue getting paid by larger venues. They know we’re traveling. They’ve added upper deck seats and are allowing us to enter for any show with the same odds. If there was priority, Raleigh might not have sold 10c seats in the back of the lowers.

Bring back priority!  If you had a Reserved choice as your #1, you got tickets almost guaranteed.

It’s too complicated for some fans. 10Cs words not mine.

Truth is Ticketmaster kept fucking up the lotto and the fans intelligence was the reason they used to take it out to make it easier on them
This was exactly what I was thinking. I don't remember 10c actually saying it. But I do remember all the people who couldn't understand a simple number system and flood the forum with complaints about it.
    .
I still see multiple posts in FB with people asking if there's a difference between the 10c and verified fan (or whatever its called now) or saying they signed up for one and not the other and didn't get picked in the lottery.

  • I don't have a horse in this race - i'm still in shock that they're not playing Montreal. But it does seem a little weird to me that people (like for example mcgruff) who's been going to shows for years and only puts in for one show gets shut out. Yes, i know it's not truly "weird", it's math and probability working against someone, but it seems unjust somehow lol. If it was up to me, tickets priority would be based on how much you enjoy HBO's Deadwood and your position on whether or not breweries should serve hoppy beer.

Old 10 clubbers as well. We did index cards back in the late 90's and I think also for 2000 tour.
2003 they had an order form in the newsletter.

  • Week 1, register for 1 single show max per household.

Week 2, register for free-for-all lottery.

Index cards back in the day didn't shut me out. I'm cool with that process, lol.

I keep a lot of useless stuff longer than I should.  But 26 years later, posting this photo justifies it.
