Do you believe in climate change?
If you believe climate change is man made do you understand the only solution is to reduce the population by about 3 billion? That's not the winning platform you think it is.
The correct term is anthropocentric global warming. Which means it's caused by humans, which includes women.
But are you saying it didn't exist before humans?
Climate change has always existed. Its just happening at a rate of 100 times (probably higher) faster than without humans. No, what I'm saying is that what we are experiencing is an extreme form of climate change that has been created and exacerbated by burning fossil fuels, dumping excessive amounts of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere, and cutting down forest which in return reduces the ability of the planet to absorb that excess carbon. It's all been clearly explained by knowledgeable, bright people who have studied and measured these things for decades.Good God man, excuse my surprise, but are you really not aware of these realities?
i responded to the first comment that climate change isn’t man made because it’s been around long before man. I said it’s true that’s it’s been around before man, but man has drastically accelerated the process. So calling it’s been around a long time isn’t a defense against climate change.
I think we’re saying the same thing.I'm sorry if I misunderstood. And I'm sorry everybody for being in a piss poor mood this morning. Grief and anger are not an attractive characteristic of mine at times."It's a sad and beautiful world"-Roberto Benigni0 -

2016:
Clinton: 66M
Trump: 63M
Total: 129M
2020:
Biden: 81M
Trump: 74M
Total: 155M
2024 (as of now)
Harris: 66M
Trump: 71M
Total: 137M
So the total goes up 26M in 2020, and then goes down 18M in 2024? Where did these voters come from in 2020, and where did they go in 2024? I contend that both Biden and Trump's 2020 vote counts are way off and it's due to all the mail-in ballots from the pandemic. I can see a few million people voting for the first and only time due to mass mail-in voting, but not 26 million.
Trump had no evidence that he was cheated like he claimed, but the idea that the 2020 election was "safe and secure" is ludicrous. I think there were nefarious actors on both sides counting mail-in ballots multiple times. How else did Biden get so many more votes than Clinton and Harris? And how did Trump, who was at his weakest point electorally in 2020, get more votes then than in the two elections he won?
I'd say Trump was at his most polarizing at that time and I that we somehow lost interest and forgot about it.
I'll throw in Biden's connection to Obama and that polls have shown that nearly 40% of people do not think women should be president.
"Hillary Clinton all but won in 2016, so it's not like people won't vote for a woman. Harris was unpopular as a candidate in 2020 (damn sexist democrats), unpopular as VP (very low approval rating), and she didn't earn this nomination. That's a terrible candidate whether it's a male or female."
There are inherent perceptions and opinions that I hear and see slip out in my every day life when interacting with male coworkers, friends or family that expose the underlying theme that women just aren't fit to lead or are too emotional, or aren'tstrong enough, or are too bitchy and on and on. Even recent references about controlling their spouses decisions or going "crazy" for no reason. Maybe you're not that way, but your dismissiveness to that being a widespread hurdle for a woman seeking the presidency seems a bit ignorant. It's not like Trump isn't unpopular as well, since you mentioned she was unpopular. He just doesn't have the added hurdles placed on a woman. He gets the benefit of the doubt.
I keep seeing Trump supporters on her claim the dems are the name callers and spewers of hate, but man, I'm pretty sure Trump patented political hatred the last 8 years. I'm not ashamed to admit that when he dies from the clear impending health issues being hidden from the public, it will be a good day for the world. Someday, maybe more people will realize he only brought chaos. There's a reason the Neo Nazi's and white supremacists support him.I truly felt the US voter (not his base) was ready to move on from Trump. But I underestimated the selfishness, ignorance, short sightedness, and general assholery of my fellow citizen.
in 2016 his cabinet was full of people who actually knew what they were doing (betsy and a few others notwithstanding)Now? Steve Bannon will probably be secretary of defence and Kyle Rittenhouse will be the new immigration “czar”. Hulk Hogan will be his press secretary. “Next question? Brotherrrrr?”.Post edited by HughFreakingDillon onBy The Time They Figure Out What Went Wrong, We'll Be Sitting On A Beach, Earning Twenty Percent.0 -

This necessary downturn Elon has mentioned will probably come from a very swift firing of a million or so federal employees. Further, I'm not a federal employee but am one of several hundred thousand likely to end up unemployed in 2025 or 2026.
We're not really going to have a functioning federal government, which is part of the appeal. Trump is no longer surrounded by so many normies/establishment (depending on your POV). It's all people that want to make a big splash against wokeness, government spending, secularism, and feminism. They don't actually care about running an efficient government. They care about getting rich and, to an extent, destroying the government. I guess their contempt for federal employees will be accepted since they're lazy government workers. But Elon's one-size-fits-all belief in slashing staff is going to cause a lot of problems for the way the federal government operates along with a big spike in unemployment. He's about to become the most powerful non-governmental figure in US history.
If they go through with their slashing of government workforce and turn off funding, there will be a massive economic hit to the country. Agreed, Hawk. You can see it in the smug look on his face in the latest photos. It's a classic "laughing all the way to the bank" scenario.

I think the dems did the best with what they had in the 90 days to do it. Yes, they should have forced Joe out last year, but under the circumstances, Harris was the most obvious choice as current VP and I highly doubt anyone else would have been able to coalesce the party like she did in that short of time. Dems are notorious for shooting themselves in the foot and having it come back to bite them, while R's have no accountability. Also, how fucked up that 70+ million still voted for Trump. No matter what anyone thinks of Harris, she's somebody who would have governed for all people, honored the rule of law and not used her position in the WH to enrich herself or her family for personal gain. You can't say any of that about Trump. It's a hopeless situation...0 -

Respectfully, what happened yesterday was part of the democratic process. Trump was elected. Senators were elected. Representatives were elected. All by a legit voting process. In 2028 a new President will be elected.0
