    I've seen similar pics of Mike and Layne Staley around that time. Moving from hair metal to grunge was quite a transition.

    Layne Staley's prom picture is epic. I went to high school in the 80's, this was definitely not an unfamiliar hair style to see. Hairspray and mousse manufactures made a killing.
