    I love this song too!!! Love that intro!!! The guitar work is just gorgeous. Ed also gets really into this one, which adds to it even more.

    I just heard this song for the first time yesterday on the Boston 2 bootleg, but on The Sky I Scrape the lyrics are under I Got Id. Can anyone shed some light on the title change for me?

    I don't know for sure, but I've always called it that just because that's what he always says in the song... I don't think I've ever referred to it as I Got ID.

    The song was released for radio play as I got id for obvious reasons, but i belive the band has always refered to it as i got shit..... that has always been my take on it.

    IT is one of my absolute favorite songs pj has ever made.

    I live in NC used to live in SC i remember the day i heard it on the radio i was in HS and it was after school i was like hell yeah that is cool. The dj is like i'm not sure if it is i. d. or id but either way here is the new pj tune. There is a station out of Spartenburg SC that plays it a lot (93.3 the planet) I love when i hear it on the radio. They are a pretty cool radio station not owned by clearchannel.

    this one is definitely in my top five...and while the other four seem to change with my mood or the day this one is always there...the two things i question daily...life and love...and he is right on with both of them...i'm going to go listen now....damn...

    It's a beautiful song and I always listen to it when going through some kind of emotional trauma. It's cathartic, those tears just start coming. One of my favourites, so emotionally charged.

    i was just listening to this song in the car. definitely in my top 10 (maybe not 5). the id is a freud reference, i think? any philosophy buffs out there?

    i love vedder at the end. it's usually pretty faint because the song gets so loud:
