    I have my final race of the year in 2 weeks, 12 hours on a running track... Farthest distance wins. Can definitely still feel the robinhood100 attempt in my legs but I'm interested to see how I find the monotony!

    Nice work
    Nice 12 mile run yesterday.  Love the "fall back" long runs in the schedule.   20 next Saturday and then it is Taper Time.
    Felt good to work for a easy pace 12 and to wake up this morning and not have my knees destroyed

    In the hot tub, as I type this, and went into the 55 degree pool before.  Good for recovery but fucking cold.

    Also went to the New Balance store yesterday to order the last year version (v4) of the X More.  I don't like the v5, at all.
    They told me about a site that NB runs where you can do that, so I found one in my size and ordered 2 pair.  That was all they had or i may have ordered more.  Lol.  Also, way cheaper than when originally bought....just over $100 per pair.

    Going to break in a carbon plated pair and perhaps use for the upcoming races.  Never used and they were sitting on the shelf, calling my name
    So super light but I'm wary of the different muscles they may engage.  Anyone here run in them?

    When I visited the US now in the fall I went into a New Balance store in an ”outlet mall”. But they didnt have any running shoes because, they told me, they sell out before they get them. 

    Bought a NB cap, but turned out to be too small for my big oh so big head.

    They don't like it as it gets to higher mileage weeks (this week will be 41 miles).  

    41 miles = a nice stroll for Beano!

    They don't like it as it gets to higher mileage weeks (this week will be 41 miles).  

    41 miles = a nice stroll for Beano!
    I know. Beano is amazing. But you are no slouch yourself. Just make sure to take care of the joints. It sounds like you have a good regimen for your knees. I hope it keeps you runnings for a long time.

    I have a pair of more v4. Very comfy for long and easy runs. Just got a pair of ASICS novablast 4 to do my tempo and slightly quicker stuff in, also good for long runs too though. I think I'll wear them for the track ultra this Saturday.

    Felt great. Didn't even think about the shoes. Can't say anything negative about them.

    When I'm back from Australia it'll be time to ski the Cougar Alley run! (Look out for Tishies on the prowl!*) Not much running for me this in between ski season. Didn't renew a love for it this fall. Must be because I forgot to pack my "Running" earbuds! Rode a bike yesterday!!!  I wiped out as a kid n I've only done it maybe three/four times since.

    Indigenous say seeing the bear brings gift of wisdom

    My First Nation prevented a ski hill from going up based on a religious argument of the grizzly Spirit.

    Also current efforts to bring the salmon back to traditional areas to feed the bear etc

    Would advise to get another pair of v4 if you like them....shelf 'em.

    Warning on news 4 local trick-or-treaters. Near my running path - not sure which is more dangerous the psycho that vandalizes the area or the bears!
