That's a great set, for sure. I always loved it that this band came from a small town in western New York State (Jamestown) that I lived near for a couple of years in the mid to late 70s (two separate years, and I moved back to my home state of California both times). I've often wished they had formed earlier or I had lives there later and caught them in their early days. I've also always wished either Natalie Merchant had stayed with them or they had changes the band's name when she left. It's just not the same group now."It's a sad and beautiful world"-Roberto Benigni0 -

It's not the same and the lead guitarist died of alcoholism in 2000, so it's been a long time since it was these 10k. I'm not the most sensitive guy in teh world, but any that I have I owe to my love of her in my formative years. She was the first musician that sang to social causes that I really absorbed. I love her to this day.brianlux said:mrussel1 said:I've been hoping this got a vinyl treatment for 20 years. I had no hope. But then it just hits, and mastered by Bernie Grundman no less. Steve Wynn's new solo LP (with help from a lot of great musicians!) is amazing! I just love it!

Thanks! Reissue. Sounds great. Been on my wishlist for a long time as it was the last R.E.M. studio album I needed to complete their discography but had been out of stock everywhere. Now to carve out some time to do a full discography listen.brianlux said:Kansas City 7.03.98

This was just delivered today from a fellow 10C member. I have been wanting this for so long I decided to pull the trigger. My birthday is Saturday and that is when I plan to unseal it and play it. A very expensive bday present to myself.0 -
Nice!! Congrats, it's a beautiful one, the packaging is great. Enjoy and happy early b-day... PJ4LIFEGlowGirl said:

I lucked out with the Dark Matter vinyl Target sale the other day, so of course I needed a record player

I found this beauty on FB marketplace for $50 and it came packed with albums: Diana Ross, The Supremes, Earth Wind and Fire, Bing Crosby, Yes, Glenn Miller, Animal House soundtrack, and many more that I need to go through.Edit: Zeppelin IV as well.Post edited by spankyMP onRandall's Island 9/29/96, Continental Arena 9/8/98, MSG 9/10/98, Jones Beach 8/23/00, 8/24/00, 8/25/00, Nassau Coliseum 4/30/03, MSG 7/8/03, 7/9/03, Continental Arena 6/1/06, 6/3/06, MSG 6/24/08, 6/25/08, Spectrum 10/30/09, 10/31/09, MSG 5/20/10, 5/21/10, PJ20 9/3/11, 9/4/11, Charlottesville 10/29/13, Charlotte 10/30/13, Global Citizen 9/26/15, Raleigh 4/20/16 Baltimore 3/28/20 Austin 9/18/23, 9/19/23, Forum 5/21/24, Baltimore 9/12/24, Fenway 9/17/24, Nashville 5/6/25, 5/8/250 -

when I was taking guitar lessons years and years ago through the city, it was at a high school. When I walked down the hall towards my class, I passed by a harmonica lesson class. 30 people all playing attempting to play the harmonica. It was...interesting.GlowGirl said:

Your boos mean nothing to me, for I have seen what makes you cheer0 -
I heard someone say at a show asked their music teacher how long it would take to play like Dylan. Said a few hours.0

A few minutes. Put harmonica to mouth, breath in, then breath out. Now you can play like Bob.Loujoe said:I heard someone say at a show asked their music teacher how long it would take to play like Dylan. Said a few hours.0 -
