    So yesterday I woke to this text from a friend....
    *Gees, man, if you're going to shoot at him, at least be a better shot!*
    I replied what the hell are you talking about? He answered, turn on the news. So I did, only to find out someone took another shot or attempted another shot. That's with another assault type weapon, an all too familiar crime we're becoming comfortably numb. This happened about 4 miles south of my house here in WPB. Too close for comfort besides I'd rather see him in handcuffs and being taken off to jail.

    last weekend i was at a church carnival and there were 2 bursts of gunshots at the carnival. i just realized i survived an assassination attempt!

    No shots fired...but the guy was apparently hiding there for 12 hours. Another really close call. 

    Seems like the secret service did their job but I'm still seeing a lot of outrage over why there weren't more SS around

    apparently SS have a lot of trouble with golf courses, and they said "especially trump ones". Not sure why his would be different/more difficult.

    I can't even fathom what we're probably paying to protect a guy who is known to incite violence, but when it's directed back at him, it's woe is me. What a waste of time, energy and resources. Are we still being bilked for them staying at his properties too? It's terrible that people are trying to assassinate him, but he really brings it on himself with his hateful, xenophobic and racist rhetoric. I can't think of any other person of a similar persona that anyone would gladly say, let's pay to protect them 24/7. What a joke.
    It's a hopeless situation...

    There is a reality that should not be a surprise. If I take part in dangerous activities or rhetoric, I should know that I'm increasing the likelihood of injury or death. That's just a fact of life. This isn't the same as blaming a woman who's raped because she was flirty or wore clothes that exposed more skin. Trump is literally provoking violence by lying and misleading the public. This isn't victim blaming. His mouth is a loaded weapon and the responses we are seeing shouldn't be surprising to anyone. Before the past few months, who didn't find it shocking there hasn't been an assassination attempt the last 8 years? It will keep happening because he has promoted violence and unrest.
    It's a hopeless situation...
