You could make a beer, bathroom break, or get some merchandise during the songs you might have heard many times over the years or songs you don’t care for.     I never get why people need a break during a 2hr show, surely you can hold a bathroom break, or get merch before.  I mean you may see Pearl Jam for a couple hrs every couple years, I wouldnt want to limit an already limited time.  Each to their own I guess.

    Fair enough. I don’t drink at Pearl jam shows because I don’t want to miss a second to queue for the bathroom or another pint. I save beer for the pub with mates. But again, each to their own. 
    I also try to avoid it. Easy at the show where prices are high and selection tends to stink. But hard to resist meeting up for a couple hours before, especially a weekend show.

    I don't know how it is lucky to find out the set before the show. PJ ain't about fireworks and laser beams etc, their whole 'jam' has been about just walking on stage and playing whatever the hell, so to go against this principal of playing more rigid sets (pre-determined many days in advance) is just rubbing fans up the wrong way. But as time goes by and people get older, I guess this is just the way it goes. 

    It is just a bit weird to think someone went up to EV and said 'please can you write the setlist for missoula now because we want to print it on the back of a shirt to sell before the show'.

    spoiled they are going to change the setlist…we’ll find out soon

    I don't see it that way...honestly whether it's written a week in advance or an hour that setlist looks like what we should expect based on what they have played this tour.

    I could care less if the setlist is on the shirt.  I can avoid scrutinizing a shirt and still feel like I’m getting a great show.

    This was my initial hunch.  One time deal.  I think that being the real setlist is a better option than having a shirt with a fake setlist.
    I know people would be bummed about the setlist surprise being ruined, but at least it's an awesome setlist.  I would love to see that show if that was the known setlist.  A one time setlist reveal isn't so bad, and in the grand scheme of things, it still is different because they never did something like this before.

    And the merch is outstanding!  Enjoy the show all, I'm sure it will be great :rock_on:

    I don't mind the shirts, but sell them mid-or-after the show. I try to avoid too many setlist threads so I can enjoy whatever they play.

    I'd be annoyed if someone stood in front of me with the setlist easily accessible before the show begins. :who_me:

    ^Exactly.  Sell the shirt during / after the show, and they could have just blurred the images of the shirt on social media.  This would have been ideal.
