I also try to avoid it. Easy at the show where prices are high and selection tends to stink. But hard to resist meeting up for a couple hours before, especially a weekend show.Force Of Nature said:
Fair enough. I don’t drink at Pearl jam shows because I don’t want to miss a second to queue for the bathroom or another pint. I save beer for the pub with mates. But again, each to their own.pjl44 said:

I never get why people need a break during a 2hr show, surely you can hold a bathroom break, or get merch before. I mean you may see Pearl Jam for a couple hrs every couple years, I wouldnt want to limit an already limited time. Each to their own I guess.coco butter said:Hmmmm… if we are going to possibly know what the set list is going to be for this leg of the tour before the show, that could have its advantages. You could make a beer, bathroom break, or get some merchandise during the songs you might have heard many times over the years or songs you don’t care for. I’d still take the excitement of not knowing the set list over it but, hey… there’s always a silver lining!0 -
I mean knowing the best times to hit the restroom or get a beer is perfect....I've missed parts of Rats and 1/2 Full getting brewskisRemember the Thomas Nine !! (10/02/2018)

I don't know how it is lucky to find out the set before the show. PJ ain't about fireworks and laser beams etc, their whole 'jam' has been about just walking on stage and playing whatever the hell, so to go against this principal of playing more rigid sets (pre-determined many days in advance) is just rubbing fans up the wrong way. But as time goes by and people get older, I guess this is just the way it goes.Force Of Nature said:I love how lucky we are as fans that a (possible) setlist leaked a couple days before a show and it causes this kind of uproar. Not many major bands change it up like Pearl Jam so the odd thing here and there throughout a career isn't a big deal to me (although I'm not going to the show so may feel different if I was there).
If it isn't the setlist, then I agree its an odd shirt choice like "oh hey, nice shirt, how was DOC live?", "oh, they didnt play it at the show, its just on the setlist tshirt".....
For what its worth, I think this was the real setlist intended for the show but wouldnt be totally surprised to see something different now, even an intended setlist can change throughout the night anyway
It is just a bit weird to think someone went up to EV and said 'please can you write the setlist for missoula now because we want to print it on the back of a shirt to sell before the show'.Post edited by Brisk. on0 -
4. Releasing it was a mistake and it was planning to be the setlist but now that it wasGibson said:Here's how I see it:
1. The setlist shirt posting was an oversight and it's too late to take down.
2. Whomever posted it didn't think we'd notice or have the image resolution to make out the setlist.
3. The poster wasn't too worried about us finding out if we wanted to dig into it.
Either way, if someone wants to see the setlist ahead of time, they can - but they can also fairly easily avoid it.
spoiled they are going to change the setlist…we’ll find out soon

I don't see it that way...honestly whether it's written a week in advance or an hour that setlist looks like what we should expect based on what they have played this tour.Brisk. said:

I could care less if the setlist is on the shirt. I can avoid scrutinizing a shirt and still feel like I’m getting a great show.

I'm going with: it's real, created by Jeff since Missoula, one time deal0

This was my initial hunch. One time deal. I think that being the real setlist is a better option than having a shirt with a fake setlist.dmbolp said:I'm going with: it's real, created by Jeff since Missoula, one time deal
I know people would be bummed about the setlist surprise being ruined, but at least it's an awesome setlist. I would love to see that show if that was the known setlist. A one time setlist reveal isn't so bad, and in the grand scheme of things, it still is different because they never did something like this before.
And the merch is outstanding! Enjoy the show all, I'm sure it will be great :rock_on:Post edited by MikeDigs onI'm spinning, oh-oh-oh I'm spinning0 -

I dunno man PJ fans can be pretty odd, usually the first 2 questions asked by PJ fans are how many shows have you been to and what is your 10c number, odd things to ask strangers. I wouldnt put it past at all someone going up to me and saying 'HEY DID YOU SEE THE SETLIST ON THE SHIRT, I CAN'T BELIEVE THEY ARE GONNA PLAY SMILE''.Gern Blansten said:
I like the shirt whether it's accurate or not. Honestly who cares? Does it cause one stress to walk around knowing a few songs were added/omitted? Unless you run into a rabid Evenbro who is walking behind you it will NEVER come up in conversation.Weston1283 said:

I don't mind the shirts, but sell them mid-or-after the show. I try to avoid too many setlist threads so I can enjoy whatever they play.
I'd be annoyed if someone stood in front of me with the setlist easily accessible before the show begins. :who_me:0 -
^Exactly. Sell the shirt during / after the show, and they could have just blurred the images of the shirt on social media. This would have been ideal.I'm spinning, oh-oh-oh I'm spinning0

You made a comment about the number of songs being played at every show. I stated a fact about the number of songs that have been played at every show. That's not spin. It's an inconvenient fact, and you responded by moving the goalpost. You could have replied, "Yeah, they've played three songs at every show this year, but they only played one song at every show in 2022." I don't think that's a meaningful difference, but we could agree to disagree. Instead, you decided to accuse me of being disingenuous.PJNB said:

The issue is the number of songs that are making every show vs how many have made every show in the past.
75% of the show is pretty much locked out of those 113 songs with little room of variation between shows.
You would have to see the whole tour to get that variety when in the past 3 shows would give you so many more unique songs.
The 20th most played song in 2022 was played 10 out of 33 shows.
It is not even close no matter how you want to keep spinning it.
