Economists universally believe tariffs are inflationary. Trump is campaigning on leveling tariffs on China. I think a logical conclusion is Trumps economic plan will raise inflation. Free trade tends to decrease inflation, but we know how he feels about NAFTA. So a logical conclusion is he is not big on free trade.You’re right we don’t know how his economic plan will affect America. But we do have historical data points from Trump and experts and it doesn’t bode well.Personally, I’m sticking with the candidate whos current administration has had recent success on lowering inflation. And rather than shake that up, I’d like to see where that goes because the trend is positive. Especially when coupled with the successes in the markets over the past 2 years.0
