    Brian, I agree that there can be a thin line between brilliance and insanity, sometimes no line at all. But when it comes to Cornell West, you and I will have to agree to disagree. :-)

    While I've personally known Cindy Brass for well over a decade now and consider her a friend, we couldn't be at more polar opposite ends of the globe when it comes to our political views on several topics. As for Seth Anderson-Oberman, we're on different planets.

    And with that being said,  I believe that every single American has a right to express thier views and if they desire, to run for office. How can anyone call themselves an American and not hold,  value, and protect this core belief ?

    What the PDCC did to Seth Anderson-Oberman and those who supported hIm is just one small, tiny, local, example, that isn't on 99 percent of the populations radar, the tip of the iceberg, of what is truly occuring within the Democrat party on all levels, and has been for some time now. If this incident that happened in Philadelphia isn't an example of facism, I dont know what is.

    I'm glad you brought this up, because if I had, no one would listen or give a shit. I would just be labeled as a maga nut, a troll who isnt really who he says he is, a white supremicist, a racist, and so on. Some of this has already happened in this very thread.

    I resigned my posistion along with a dozen others 6 months prior to the incident you brought up. Had already seen the writing on the wall, either fall in line or get out. Openly oppose and pay the price. Regret staying on as long as I did. Actually was asked for advice from those involved with this incident you brought up and told them exactly what would happen and respect the decisions they made. And we're on polar oppisite ends, go figure. 

    Roles flip over time. They always do. They already have in the past within our two party system of government. What makes people think it won't, couldn't, or maybe is in the process of heppening right now?

    Go look up the defintion of facism, take a step back and outside the box, put all your personal views aside and ask yourselves who fits the defintion today, the Republican or Democrat party ? 

    I have considerd my self an Independent from the day I resigned and promised myself never to vote along party lines ever again.

    "If Elissa Slotkin loses her Senate race in Michigan, Republicans will have control of the Senate. Period.

    Making matters worse, if Elissa loses her Senate race, it probably means Democrats lose the presidential election in Michigan as well... and with it... the White House.

    And if Trump wins the White House, control of the Senate could be the only thing holding him back from total control.

    So yeah, sorry to put that thought in your head, but it is the truth, and it is important."


    Well, governor Newsom, yeah, that actually left me with a bad headache.  (I keep telling myself to turn off the news and just wait and see what happens in a few months.  riiiiiiiiiiiight.  OK, that's not going to happen.)


    So my question is, does the whole thing really depend on weather one person (Slotkin) wins a senate seat?  Are we really teetering this close to becoming a nation ruled by a crackpot authoritarian nutcase.

    Also, any know a good shrink?  Thanks.

    No republican has won a senate seat in Michigan since 1994 so hopefully the trend continues.

    No republican has won a senate seat in Michigan since 1994 so hopefully the trend continues.

    I generally like Newsom OK, but I don't understand why he is constantly putting out messages that feel like we are on the edge of doom and gloom.  I guess that's a motivator for a lot of people.  I'd rather focus on keeping the positive energy going that is the current character of the Harris/Walz campaign (and I apologize if my post is detracting from that positive energy). 

    As an aside, any one notice how some news outlets spell the Harris VP pick "Waltz"?  Are we in an era that lame when it comes to news and journalism?  Pretty sad.

    agreed...I think that spread will get bigger as we get closer to the election. tRump is going to go completely off the rails and continue to lose people that are barely hanging on to supporting him right now
