    My friend in the US was after a tea towel but they sold out at early merch, and then again in the venue before I got there.  

    If anyone in the UK has a change of heart about having this, I’d love to get it for her.

    Just thinner than a standard towel for drying dishes or your hands when cleaning in the kitchen. I assume the US have some sort of hygiene standards 🙃

    Until now ive never questioned why we called it a tea towel. Im also wondering how we got to a point in our lives that we get excited about having tea towels as merch (i associate them with buying as souvenirs for my parents or grandparents coming back from holiday- not as something I would get for myself) 🤣 

    Definition if anyone interested - 🤣  tea towels date back to England in the 18th century, when they were used to insulate tea pots at tea ceremonies (hence the name), dry fine china, and cover baked goods
