    I could be wrong, but seems op just doesn't want some maladjusted dude to get away with hitting whomever he wants.
    Heck. After a great concert, getting hit for no reason surely kills the euphoric vibe pj gives us. 
    If the judge is a fan maybe would throw op a cool mil.
    Anyway be nice to others you fuc.ing as.holes.

    Assault does not require physical contact. That is battery. No damages means no civil recovery. And this was Cali, not Washington. Anyhoo........

    To me it sounds like the dude who was unhappy about getting escorted away from seat swung elbow randomly? Not purposely hitting oP? How is this a crime? And no damages... let's move on. Shit happens... no one hurt... it sucked but if he was swinging elbow because OP just in wrong place how is that battery?

    Ah yes, the guy was just minding his business throwing elbows like any of us do when we go out in public places and then stating he will kill somebody.  Let it go.

    Sure, if I wasn't hurt I may just let it go because I want to move on with my life.  Others may not feel that way and want to press charges.

    What happened is shitty. Sore lip and a toothache for a day, and you’re gonna fly back across country to LA, plus drag a couple that was in the vicinity along with…….maybe not worth it.

    NO ONE thinks what he did was ok...
    The question is if it's worth your time, travel,  money, etc to pursue it further. 
    Don't for a second think anyone condones that behavior.. just hard to prosecute

    I would just share that I once blamed someone for an injury I had (rightfully so probably) but it was not until I focused on the recovery and stopped thinking about how to get justice from them that I was able to move beyond the incident.  Good luck whatever way you go.
