What happened is shitty. Sore lip and a toothache for a day, and you’re gonna fly back across country to LA, plus drag a couple that was in the vicinity along with…….maybe not worth it.
Did you get injured? Did you see a doctor or go to the ER/urgent care?
As luck would have it, I went to the concert with a doctor so I was fine on that front. I was not concussed or anything like that.
No damages, no case.
May want to leave that one to an atty. In Washington assault doesn't have to result un damages, but rather defined as physical contact that would be deemed unwanted by reasonable person.
Assault does not require physical contact. That is battery. No damages means no civil recovery. And this was Cali, not Washington. Anyhoo........
I want the attacker to realize that what he did is not OK. Days later and my lip is still swollen and my tooth is a little numb. I am really disappointed reading that people think that I have to had a split lip with stiches or something like that before it would not be OK to be hit by this guy.

I would just share that I once blamed someone for an injury I had (rightfully so probably) but it was not until I focused on the recovery and stopped thinking about how to get justice from them that I was able to move beyond the incident. Good luck whatever way you go.
