Great show. I hope his voice is ok. He def pushed it tonight. You could hear the strain in his voice.
Fingers crossed for back to backs in LA.

Jill and Harper were in the pit. Ed sang “Something Special” to Harper who made it to the rail.

Ed complained of throat issues possibly from the dry desert and got an IV for it. Not noticeable by me. Special and Won’t Tell made 10/11 Dark Matter over 2 Vegas shows (Got To Give).

Ed seemed choked up over the gambling/EB thing. I’m pretty sure that was orchestrated pre-show by Jill. On cue 10-15 people had a paper with All-in for  EB and a butterfly pic. The girl handed Eddie the envelope and wrote, “I stayed up all night gambling but the casino got the Upper Hand, thank you for this amazing experience”.

The setlist was solid but the Encore set left a lot to be desired. Especially with 4 repeats from Thursday.

All in all it was a great 2 night run. Really enjoyed the new material live and the addition of the graphics screen really added a cool element to the show. Here’s hoping for the Sphere residency next year!

It will be interesting to see if we hear more about the whole story on the gambling/donation. I donated this afternoon in the merch/GA line area. She seemed legit wanting to make up for not making any money on the gambling. Told the story of the anxiety of losing it and staying up all night. Eddie was legit floored by the donation. It was a good experience.

I liked tonight better than the first night, if for anything Ed's banter. I got three non-Dark Matter songs I've never heard live before, which I didn't even think possible with the Dark Matter focus and the set song placement. Despite that mark me as one disappointed by the same exact closers. Especially after doing different things like throwing Smile in there in the first shows.

But they did mix up Dark Matter songs for the first time and that was good. These were two very solid back-to-backs.

Certainly a good show but nowhere near the first night. I think Ed even said at one point, it was a little bit more subdued tonight. The setlist and performance on Thursday were both scorching hot. Having said that, I really enjoyed hearing the two additional songs off Dark Matter.

I hope the 2 days off are enough to clear whatever throat issues are going on.

Setting aside the repeat problem....what a fantastic show at a high level. 2nd best for me behind Van1.

    The encore...let's start there.

You Are saved the show from an abysmal encore.

Seriously, Petty again? Petty isn't that good. At least play his good shit. Throw your hatred down was a better choice... alas.. I would take Last Kiss any fucking day over this mediocre Petty cover that was cool the first year he did it and has been boring since.

    Y led again? Cmon.

Alive - always a solid and happy to hear it.

Setting Sun already over it. 4 times live covers me for the decade. It's NOT that awesome to get every show play.

Something Special is actually much better live. Not mad at it. Once is always cool to hear but not one that jumps out.

So sure the encore was bleh except Alive and You Are.

The first set was fucking amazing. My favorite of the tour.

Of the Girl opener, Out of my Mind, Spin tour debut? and the best song from Avocado with severed hand.. hell fucking yeah. The crowd was pretty into the whole set except Wreckage had a lot of sitters/bathroom breakers. Significantly, more then previous shows, strong indicator most of the crowd is repeat fans.

Ed ran his survey. Well over 70% of crowd seemed to be at both nights. Made the decision to repeat so much even more mind boggling.

Great job mixing up DM ... it was great to not be sure what's next.

That first set was amazing, except MYM.  The lone low point.

OoM was truly well done, so great for a 6th time ever play!

Surprised at the CC ommission. The crowd clearly was looking for something, the place went bonkers when they showed the back of MCs shirt.

Ed has throat issues kind of a anticipated stone, Matt, or josh would hop in and sing one..a little surprised they didn't to play it safe and reduce strain for Ed.

Hope it marches on for LA and Seattle without interruption.

B+ show, with the encore holding it back from An A+

EV was the MVP tonight! Had a throat issue, but made it work. Such a good time. Appreciate this band and all the hard work they put in. Got to hear Of the Girl and You Are for the first time

Doesn't the band realize many fans go to both shows?  If so 9 repeats and the last 3 songs the same yet again???!

Was at LV#1 but missed this one. For me, this set blows #1 away…hurts I missed it! Of the Girl, Low Light, Manners, Given to Fly…the way the new songs were switched around, Won’t Tell, You Are…etc etc. Again, for me this show’s setlist is the best so far on this tour.

Been to 18 shows and Spin the Black Circle always seems to avoid me by a night or two (only seen it twice in 24 years)…frustrating, but comical…one of my favorites and a special one…first PJ song I fell for as a kid and really got me into the band. Hoping to hear this at Fenway in September ( if they don’t, that will be 6 straight shows at Fenway with no Spin).

Also- Why all the hate on MYM? Great song/single…one of their hardest…like 80s metal only 20x better! Love this one

That's interesting...I thought night 1 was the best setlist of the tour so far by a landslide, and night 2 was equally the weakest of the tour. But I wasn't at either one, so can't speak on the vibes or performance.

Great show.  Liked N1 setlist a smidge more than N2.  Thought the crowd was great, lot of energy. Severed Hand a pleasant surprise.  Really love the new songs live. Would’ve much rather Throw your arms around me then won’t back down. At least do Wildflowers or Room at the Top if doin Petty.   Would’ve preferred RVM instead of Porch and Indifference instead of Ledbetter.
Overall; two amazing shows and 4 crazy nights in vegas.  Ready to go home to NY and collapse.

I was thrilled with Severed Hand and You Are..both on my list of wanting to see live really bad. You are being my top highlight. Both of these shows are just gifts to me..repeats or not..to get to experience these with my teen daughter was a blessing. I just never take a second with this band for granted. My heart is just so full and I took some beautiful pics that I can't wait to go through when I get home.

I do hope Eds voice is okay..just adore him so much.

My daughter said she couldn't stop watching Matt..that he is fascinating..which I found really cool

On my 7am flight home and basking in gratitude for two great shows (29&30). Night 1 was superior in most ways but the opening 5 songs of night 2 were fucking phenomenal and there were many sweet moments. Of the girl was the top of my wishlist this tour, so I won’t complain about the setlist even if there were more repeats than I’d prefer. Also, they went for some hard ones in a night that EV was drinking tea. I really think Stones energy on n1 was a big difference. Band sounds great! EVs voice was strong, I think. I was a bit sad/surprised that there was no CC memorial. EV’s speaking out about butker and support for the women is refreshing and appreciated.

I’m loving the dark matter songs/visuals (these especially felt stronger night 1). I heard all but one DM track in 2 nights and they all sounded better live than on the album! Just amazing. Wreckage was notably better night one. Never expected to hear special , and was pleasantly surprised (and not at all annoyed) to hear it even tho it’s my least fave on the album. Love that he sang it to Harper. I couldn’t disagree more with setting sun haters. It’s the DM tour, for godsake. It’s a great closer and somehow feels like an “extra”.

Ready for Dublin and east coast shows! Thank you Vegas!

I was in the stands on Thurs and GA on Sat and for me Thursday was not only better but one of the best shows I've seen by any band. I think part of it was my expectations for Sat night were unrealistically high after Thurs.  The rarities on Thursday were some of my favorite songs (HTI, Inside Job, Hail Hail).  And I also missed Scared of Fear, Upper Hand, and Waiting for Stevie on Sat as those are probably my 3 favorites on the new one but was happy to hear Won't Tell. Stone's energy on the new songs is great.  A few too many repeats on Sat as others have said also didn't help. Don't get me wrong, I'd go see the Saturday show again in a heartbeat but Thursday was next level.

Night and day for me when comparing nights 1 and 2. Thursday is easily in my top 5 PJ shows, while this one will mostly be a night to forget. So much ten, lots of repeats,  bunch of songs I could do without taking up the wildcard slots, and too much talking breaking up the flow. Severed Hand and You Are helped keep it marginally interesting, but not my favorite show

Exactly. It’s like some people think they’re gonna do what they did 20-30 years ago, or that they’re gonna cater to the fans more than they have. As if any of us are exactly the same as we were. Yes, I fully realize this is a message board. I’m just glad as they are in, or approaching, their f’in 60’s, they’re still touring and doing what they do. It’s like people requesting Blood, SMH, be realistic. Could give a shit what they play, sure not gonna whine about it.
