Alive is guaranteed. Repeating Ledbetter at back to back nights in the same city was exceptionally unlikely even before the current format

Well, this is concerning if we look at what happened in recent tours (2018 and 2022).

Me too. HFS, what a set list! Were you at that show?

  • Amazing pair of shows here in Vegas!! (my 13 & 14 not counting Ed solo shows) I know a lot of people are surprised by the Ledbetter repeat but since that’s my all time number 1, I was in tears to hear it again. And Breath at night 1 was my favorite part overall — first time hearing it live. I think Andrew Watt being at night 1 was super special for the band and the crowd benefited greatly. N2: There was a low key tribute to CC last night in my opinion — Better Man. I don’t think there was ever going to be anything more than something very subtle. Rest in peace, CC. Severed Hand and Out of my Mind… EPIC!! I’m really enjoying Wreckage live. My fave new song is Dark Matter - such a great sing-along chorus!! And lastly, F-ING SHOUT OUT TO N2 SECTION 227!! It was full of 10clubbers!! I’ve never been around more people screaming every single lyric. Loved every minute of it. Hi to Shawn, Russ, (and Joe even tho you were in the pit)!! Thank you, PJ, for the memories.

Trying things they haven't played in a while on this tour... (You Are, Out of My Mind, Leatherman etc.)

Fucked things up instead of playing to perfection (Red Mosquito)

Etc. Etc.  I just think that there comes a point where if the focus is on the songs you aren't getting, a person loses sight of the songs they are getting

Edit: Nevermind, not worth contributing to the argument
back to the actual show discussion, one of my highlights actually ended up being the tag less betterman. Was kinda refreshing to hear it with just a long mike solo and no SIFL

Rose colored glasses. Ten clubbers had plenty to complain about on that tour too. It never ends.

I really enjoyed hearing You Are and I thought the video component that layered the band’s performance on the different tiers of landscape on the screen during that song was phenomenal. Had the band already used that effect this year? It felt like the video for that and Severed Hand were unique to those songs.

Speaking of the screens, Evolution felt better when accompanied by the actual video. The Spawn footage at the previous shows just felt a little off to me.

Out Of My Mind is such a weird one to make a big deal out of resurrecting. It’s a fun curiosity, but give me All Night over that if we’re going to have those.

My 50th show and while I did prefer N1 (HTI in my top 3 songs, plus a glorious and unexpected Breath made N1 semi-legendary for me / and I was a little fatigued after seeing shows 4 nights in a row), I still loved N2 for a few reasons unexpected. The EB donation was very touching, and EV singing a song about his daughter directly to his daughter (I have 2 daughters…) was truly “something special”.  It’s like I always say, every show is a gift.  See you in Seattle!  Oh and Deep Sea Diver was absolutely brilliant.  Really digging them.

PS - Dead at the Sphere.  Holy fucking shit.

PPS - got to meet and hang with some awesome new friends!  That’s always such a big part of the joy.

Sure, pick the one time when they did three nights in one venue across ten days and set out to play everything in the repertoire, as if that was the norm.
I gather speed from you fucking with me.

^The Vedders were super cool & both got up to the rail like the parting of the red sea lol.

This is Harper with her dad singing to her & holding her hand. Even when he got up to finish the song, he held on as long as possible 💜

Night 1 edged out night 2 for me as well! Also shoutout to @danlee1095 for getting me into the pit both nights with an extra ticket. He was a pleasure to meet and hang out with! 11th and 12th shows for me and I tend to travel alone a lot for them (my wife is not a fan) and EVERY show I've been to I have made friends with fellow Pearl Jam community members. It's as close to organized religion as I would like to get.

The dead show in between was the feather in the cap for this trip. I am sitting here in the LAS airport heading to LAX for a redeye back to NYC, contemplating changing my flights and hanging out in LA for the next bought of shows. I hope Ed's voice heals up for those going to LA.

Anyone else in section 11 where the guy projectile vomited 10 minutes before PJ hit the stage? Awful scene. This guy cleared out like 3 rows of people and it smelled awful. Luckily staff came down to clean some of it up. Some people can’t handle Vegas.

It didn’t ruin the show for us. The band sounded as connected as ever. Ed clearly deferring to the crowd to carry some of the singing, and the crowd sounded great!

I was chatting everyone up in GA Mike Side (Ten Club lottery really worked out this year - and I won about $200 on the trip!) and asking what they'd think the opener would be. I was guessing Of The Girl - which I also guessed for Thursday and like my 5 previous shows. I just really love that song - my fave on Binaural - and had never seen it. So the song starts and everyone is high fiving me and telling me how smart I am or whatever. A broken clock is right twice a day! Anyway, Of The Girl was friggin awesome.

Low Light is good at setting the mood. Then Garden at #3 - wow, HERE WE GO! Another great singalong - like H2I from n1.

I don't know what people have against MYM - it really rocks and gets things going. Not every song needs to be Waiting for Stevie. Then G2F in the spot where we were expecting Scared of Fear - anything goes tonight! 3 big time rockin' DM songs in a row after that. I like how they are mixing the DM songs together. Small Town/Wreckage is a cool folksy combo (just like Daughter/Wreckage from N1). Wreckage is a single getting radio play - yes they are probably going to play it every night. For my money, they are playing plenty of punk rockers and this type of song is a nice balance for the set.

Those Avocado stans amongst us were super stoked about Severed Hand - they rocked the guac both nights! It was great to hear Won't Tell - love me a good Jeff song! Even Flow - um, how about that McCready teeth solo! That was interesting to watch - but sure did sound awesome. Ed's feminist rant was awesome and yeah that was a really good Better Man - didn't even need the tag.

Out of My Mind - really cool song to add to your collection. Somehow I've seen it twice by having the weirdest luck ever. Still no Life Wasted or Sad though.  :s

Spin is a great song live. If I open a record store I'm calling it Spin Spin. I was hoping for RVM but I think Porch might have given Eddie's throat a break. Dude I get it - I was feeling awful yesterday. Those 3 or 4 days in LV really take a toll.

I would say I Won't Back Down is kind of played out - some people singing along in a perfunctory manner I'd say. The next one - You Are - very exciting for me to see this for the first time! Unfortunately it seemed like other fans weren't as enthused about it. DTE had the full video this time - I thought it was awesome. They played Once and I was getting excited for Mamason but it didn't happen. It's all good.

Eddie singing Something Special to his daughters. Yeah it's a sometimes skip on that album but if you weren't touched by that you need to trade in your humanity card. I choked up a little, or maybe it was just my feet hurting.

Same closing trio as N1 which apparently is unpopular. I figure they want to play Alive and close with Setting Sun every night, which is fine by me. I'm thinking YLB is a little easier on Eddie's throat than Indifference or Footsteps - most of the song is Mike playing solos, which, are you really complaining about this? I was still greedily hoping for a post-Setting Sun add-on.

I was walking out and just overwhelmed and floored by this show. Yes, the band was a little tighter on night one, but they gave it their all and threw in some rarities and very special moments. It was really disappointing to see all the negativity about this show. Some of you sound like snobby restaurant critics. Maybe you need a break.

Can't wait for the Philly and Baltimore shows!!!

In my stoned state of mind, I imagined (was certain it happened) that Ed & Jeff shared a laugh over “only you deserve conceit,” during Spin.

Remember when Bill Simmons uses the word conceit in their interview, and Ed quizzes him on it? Then Jeff busts balls about it later?

Watched the replay, didn’t happen.  :s

Anyways, both shows were amazing and enhanced by weed. Particularly Mike’s solos, which are so intense and gritty.

Favorite moment of the weeekend was Wishlist. Ed sung it in such a cool, different way than I’d ever heard before. Although that too may have just been a stoned perception.

This is a really well thought out fanview. Thank you for your description and feelings on the show. So refreshing to read someone really appreciative of the band’s performance. Too many others come off as spoiled and ungrateful for what the band gives us. We are lucky they are still around and playing live. I’ll take WHATEVER they decide to play. Glad you enjoyed the show. ❤️

I died. I died and you just stood there. I died and you watched. I died and you walked by and said no. I'm dead.

Jill and Harper were in the pit. Ed sang “Something Special” to Harper who made it to the rail.

Ed complained of throat issues possibly from the dry desert and got an IV for it. Not noticeable by me. Special and Won’t Tell made 10/11 Dark Matter over 2 Vegas shows (Got To Give).

Ed seemed choked up over the gambling/EB thing. I’m pretty sure that was orchestrated pre-show by Jill. On cue 10-15 people had a paper with All-in for  EB and a butterfly pic. The girl handed Eddie the envelope and wrote, “I stayed up all night gambling but the casino got the Upper Hand, thank you for this amazing experience”.

The setlist was solid but the Encore set left a lot to be desired. Especially with 4 repeats from Thursday.

All in all it was a great 2 night run. Really enjoyed the new material live and the addition of the graphics screen really added a cool element to the show. Here’s hoping for the Sphere residency next year!
I can attest to the scenario regarding the gambling and donation as I was there. My friend had a difficult time deciding what to do with the money and felt immense pressure (everybody had an opinion and did become a bit overwhelming). She was a very measured player at the roulette table, but that's why Vegas has such nice buildings and she lost it all. Pictures were snapped of her gambling and the pit bosses/security didn't take to kindly or care it was Ed's or Stone's money.

I won't speak as to how she felt (I know how I would've felt). I do know that an organic plan that she set into motion with fellow friends turned into something incredibly special. Another GA fan had those signs printed at her hotel business center. There wasn't enough for everyone that donated, but message was recieved. Despite losing it all, a greater thing arose.

I can certainly tell you that it was not orchestrated from Jill or the band. Just an opportunity to give back to a band that has given to all of us so much through the years.

The whole experience will live on as one of the great moments I've witnessed.
