Doesn't the band realize many fans go to both shows?  If so 9 repeats and the last 3 songs the same yet again???!
And it’s a lot of people’s first time too.
I died. I died and you just stood there. I died and you watched. I died and you walked by and said no. I'm dead.

Setting aside the repeat problem....what a fantastic show at a high level. 2nd best for me behind Van1.

    The encore...let's start there.

You Are saved the show from an abysmal encore.

Seriously, Petty again? Petty isn't that good. At least play his good shit. Throw your hatred down was a better choice... alas.. I would take Last Kiss any fucking day over this mediocre Petty cover that was cool the first year he did it and has been boring since.

    Y led again? Cmon.

Alive - always a solid and happy to hear it.

Setting Sun already over it. 4 times live covers me for the decade. It's NOT that awesome to get every show play.

Something Special is actually much better live. Not mad at it. Once is always cool to hear but not one that jumps out.

So sure the encore was bleh except Alive and You Are.

The first set was fucking amazing. My favorite of the tour.

Of the Girl opener, Out of my Mind, Spin tour debut? and the best song from Avocado with severed hand.. hell fucking yeah. The crowd was pretty into the whole set except Wreckage had a lot of sitters/bathroom breakers. Significantly, more then previous shows, strong indicator most of the crowd is repeat fans.

Ed ran his survey. Well over 70% of crowd seemed to be at both nights. Made the decision to repeat so much even more mind boggling.

Great job mixing up DM ... it was great to not be sure what's next.

That first set was amazing, except MYM.  The lone low point.

OoM was truly well done, so great for a 6th time ever play!

Surprised at the CC ommission. The crowd clearly was looking for something, the place went bonkers when they showed the back of MCs shirt.

Ed has throat issues kind of a anticipated stone, Matt, or josh would hop in and sing one..a little surprised they didn't to play it safe and reduce strain for Ed.

Hope it marches on for LA and Seattle without interruption.

B+ show, with the encore holding it back from An A+

    Petty isn’t that good? What?
  • On my 7am flight home and basking in gratitude for two great shows (29&30). Night 1 was superior in most ways but the opening 5 songs of night 2 were fucking phenomenal and there were many sweet moments. Of the girl was the top of my wishlist this tour, so I won’t complain about the setlist even if there were more repeats than I’d prefer. Also, they went for some hard ones in a night that EV was drinking tea. I really think Stones energy on n1 was a big difference. Band sounds great! EVs voice was strong, I think. I was a bit sad/surprised that there was no CC memorial. EV’s speaking out about butker and support for the women is refreshing and appreciated.

I’m loving the dark matter songs/visuals (these especially felt stronger night 1). I heard all but one DM track in 2 nights and they all sounded better live than on the album! Just amazing. Wreckage was notably better night one. Never expected to hear special , and was pleasantly surprised (and not at all annoyed) to hear it even tho it’s my least fave on the album. Love that he sang it to Harper. I couldn’t disagree more with setting sun haters. It’s the DM tour, for godsake. It’s a great closer and somehow feels like an “extra”.

Ready for Dublin and east coast shows! Thank you Vegas!

I was in the stands on Thurs and GA on Sat and for me Thursday was not only better but one of the best shows I've seen by any band. I think part of it was my expectations for Sat night were unrealistically high after Thurs.  The rarities on Thursday were some of my favorite songs (HTI, Inside Job, Hail Hail).  And I also missed Scared of Fear, Upper Hand, and Waiting for Stevie on Sat as those are probably my 3 favorites on the new one but was happy to hear Won't Tell. Stone's energy on the new songs is great.  A few too many repeats on Sat as others have said also didn't help. Don't get me wrong, I'd go see the Saturday show again in a heartbeat but Thursday was next level.

Great time as always. But yeah , Vegas 1 was the highlight of these 2 shows.

Can’t wait to see them again in indy

Night and day for me when comparing nights 1 and 2. Thursday is easily in my top 5 PJ shows, while this one will mostly be a night to forget. So much ten, lots of repeats,  bunch of songs I could do without taking up the wildcard slots, and too much talking breaking up the flow. Severed Hand and You Are helped keep it marginally interesting, but not my favorite show

Exactly. It’s like some people think they’re gonna do what they did 20-30 years ago, or that they’re gonna cater to the fans more than they have. As if any of us are exactly the same as we were. Yes, I fully realize this is a message board. I’m just glad as they are in, or approaching, their f’in 60’s, they’re still touring and doing what they do. It’s like people requesting Blood, SMH, be realistic. Could give a shit what they play, sure not gonna whine about it.

Alive is guaranteed. Repeating Ledbetter at back to back nights in the same city was exceptionally unlikely even before the current format

  • Listening to this right now. Remembering the good old days when they'd mix things up, and try things they haven't played in a while. And fuck things up instead of playing to perfection.

Well, this is concerning if we look at what happened in recent tours (2018 and 2022).

  • Amazing pair of shows here in Vegas!! (my 13 & 14 not counting Ed solo shows) I know a lot of people are surprised by the Ledbetter repeat but since that’s my all time number 1, I was in tears to hear it again. And Breath at night 1 was my favorite part overall — first time hearing it live. I think Andrew Watt being at night 1 was super special for the band and the crowd benefited greatly. N2: There was a low key tribute to CC last night in my opinion — Better Man. I don’t think there was ever going to be anything more than something very subtle. Rest in peace, CC. Severed Hand and Out of my Mind… EPIC!! I’m really enjoying Wreckage live. My fave new song is Dark Matter - such a great sing-along chorus!! And lastly, F-ING SHOUT OUT TO N2 SECTION 227!! It was full of 10clubbers!! I’ve never been around more people screaming every single lyric. Loved every minute of it. Hi to Shawn, Russ, (and Joe even tho you were in the pit)!! Thank you, PJ, for the memories.

Trying things they haven't played in a while on this tour... (You Are, Out of My Mind, Leatherman etc.)

Fucked things up instead of playing to perfection (Red Mosquito)

Etc. Etc.  I just think that there comes a point where if the focus is on the songs you aren't getting, a person loses sight of the songs they are getting

back to the actual show discussion, one of my highlights actually ended up being the tag less betterman. Was kinda refreshing to hear it with just a long mike solo and no SIFL
