Scared of Fear
Such an awesome opener... That bridge/break is amazing and the intensity is going to be so awesome live once that build up comes....
Hear the voices calling all around my head
Have I lost my friend?
Is this what we've become
One last setting sun
I give but I won't give up
I'll live not enough
To stop these voices calling
Stop the voices calling
All around my head
As if you never left
MY GOODNESS!
Hear the voices calling all around my head
Have I lost my friend?
Is this what we've become
One last setting sun
I give but I won't give up
I'll live not enough
To stop these voices calling
Stop the voices calling
All around my head
As if you never left
MY GOODNESS!

Best work ever :clap:I was swimming in the Great Barrier Reef
Animals were hiding behind the Coral
Except for little Turtle
I could swear he's trying to talk to me

Yeah this is a real strong way to kick the doors in....I read somewhere that it was described as 'nondescript' or 'forgettable' 😮🤷
I'm sure glad I don't feel that way about it, at all!My Music, 'Crowd of Oaks' - Spotify | Bandcamp

I love everything about this tune. Love the nod to The Band / Last Waltz with the pool break leading into Stone's riff. This will be a fun one to learn on guitar0

My fav on the record after 5 listens. Could be about his wife or maybe Cornell? I hope Eddie’s not getting a divorce. Lyrics are throughout the whole record0

I definitely hear an AC/DC influence in the guitar riff. Great song!Up here so high I start to shake, Up here so high the sky I scrape, I've no fear but for falling down, So look out below I am falling now, Falling down,...not staying down, Could’ve held me up, rather tear me down, Drown in the river0

I was thinking Symphony of Destruction with that intro partVeddernarian said:I definitely hear an AC/DC influence in the guitar riff. Great song!

Am I the only one thinking about Keith Richards "jumping" on the stage to play the first riff?

In the opening riff I hear Custard Lie from Led Zep. 💪👌🤘

Yeah, this is a great way to start the album.
I love how it starts out really quiet and then builds up. Always been a fan of songs like that.1998: Noblesville, IN 08-172000: Noblesville, IN 08-182003: Noblesville, IN 06-222006: Cincinnati, OH 06-242010: Noblesville, IN 05-072016: Lexington, KY 04-26, Wrigley Field 2 08-222018: Wrigley Field 1 08-18, Wrigley Field 2 08-202022: St. Louis, MO 09-182024: Noblesville, IN 08-26, Wrigley Field 1 08-29, Wrigley Field 2 08-31

I think it's the best opening track since whoever said. I'm kidding, but im not. I thought whoever said was the best song they had recorded in at least 18 years when it was released. Still do. Scared of fear is great too though, and might be my favorite from the new album.pdalowsky said:Best opening track since Go0 -

Wow, 18 years. Why were you still hanging around if you didn’t like ANYTHING they had put out in all that time? Crazy.Lifted said:
