i only came up with changing the spelling from "sweet" to "suite" recently (ie: after i made my username). i got bored spelling it the right way.

i still get confused that you're a guy

although those pictures of you in the wine fields have me worrying ;)

[just kiddin... the wife and i did a wine tour of temecula last year, the winter barrel or something... it's like a classy pub crawl ;)]

I thought the same thing until the photos. I guess most people don't think of guys as sweet, er, suite. But hey, it's an ES reference, right? And that's manly to me. I love that guy.

my girlfriend is a wine-o. i have no choice but to drink the fermented grape.

i like the "classy pub crawl" analogy though ;)

plus i have the whole sweet caroline issue... they play that friggin song so much in boston that i don't even see adeline... and it sounds like caroline

    but

Sweet Lou... ironically that's the only way you could have sweet and still be manly :)

Have you been happy with the framing that Michael's does? I've heard some bad stories.
  • this is my boston 98 from michael's

    http://community.webshots.com/photo/73159374/2269292420046594537JDIxGJ

it was about 180 to frame

the picture doesnt do it justice. i think its a really nice job but it took them a week longer than they said and I started to worry that I handed my 98 Boston (which just cracked $750 on ebay this week) to an 18 year old kid.

and do you usually have a coupon for michaels?

i signed up at their website and have a 50% off the entire framing order... just wondering if you were using coupons?

    thanks

  • coupons are a joke

I went to Michael's with a coupon for 50% off but they were already having a 48% off sale. They say the list price is like 400+ or somthing ridiculous.

Big Picture framing in Natick has 40% off everyday. What the fuck is that? If that is the everyday price then its not 40% off-its THE PRICE

those things annoy be the actual work has always been satisfactory

  • on my Boston 98 they even dry mounted it for free! It came out really nice.

Ha! Don't you love marketing gimmicks that really save you no money at all, even when they look nice and juicy?

You really can't do anything to fuck it up when you do it yourself. They send you 4 sides of the frame. You use a flathead screwdriver to tighten the pieces together. Lay in the matt, the acrylic, the poster, and the foamcore. Then you put the clips on the back to keep it all tightly together, and you hang it on the wall. It's incredibly simple.
