How cool is it that while browsing this thread, my doorbell rang.
It was the UPS guy dropping off my "Art of Modern Rock: The Poster Explosion" book from Amazon!
I ordered it so I could do plenty of reading on my 1,800-mile driving trip to Montana with my wife and brother. That, and lots of daydreaming, wishing I had a lot of the insane posters that are shown in the book.

- Philly 2
- New York (aka the one with all the planes)
- my test print (looks like Toronto 1 and something that I have no idea what it is)
- a Vegoose at night poster (05 maybe? - can be found on BigPopPosters.com)
- an Ames print (looks like the silouhette of a cowboy, pointing a gun, but the view is basically right down the barrel of the gun)
- and a sticker, that resembles the Hartford poster (I say "resembles" cause they coloured inside the lines for the sticker)
my only hope is that i get a boston test print... although you can't even tell on yours??
i'm thinking i need to have grenade brain girl with birdie eating heart out poster
anyone else gunning for this one ?
I don't have a subscription, but Milwaukee 1 has become one of my favorite posters of all time ... OVERNIGHT. I'm definitely going to get my hands on one, one way or another.
Tell me about it. I'm debating whether or not I should take it on the trip after all. Makes me nervous that it'd get beat up and dinged up, one way or another. Plus, since it weighs the size of a small person, won't I get worse gas mileage?!?

Has anyone else received the third tube? I just got mine and my test print is double sided (Albany and Detroit on one side, just the blue of the Albany on the back side).
Also, the special Ames print is just like the t-shirt they sell, with the cowboy and the shotgun. Very cool looking and worthy of framing, IMHO.

Ames Design has been putting it down on paper for about 10 years now with no end in sight.
Working with bands such as Pearl Jam and Phish has given the Ames crew an opportunity to display their widely creative poster work to a very large audience. Utilizing original designs and the dying art of hand pulled screen printing, Ames is continuing the rare graphic tradition of the concert poster. Though the poster images of Ames may be their more recognized work, they have also been deeply involved in creating graphics for the snowboard industry, music industry, and various ad agencies. Ames Design's talents in both illustration and design have earned them a "double sword" wielding reputation within the art world and the musical underground.

Test print: Might just need to look at it further. Didn't notice anything on the back.
Packaging: Same, 1 piece of paper for all posters. The only thing that was loose and fell out was the sticker.
Ames print: Definintely frame worthy.
