Pearl Jam at Red Rocks!!!!!!!!!!

It would obviously be a dream to see them there but the fact that it would be a near impossible ticket and thinking of the ensuing bitchfest that would occur here when 9 out of every 10 members would get shut out makes this a no from me dawg.
Much rather see them at the Gorge, which holds almost 3 times as many people.0 -
I like arenas not amphitheaters just my thing0
-
and the locals at red rocks steal all the good seats lol0

I watched a video of the mad dash to mark seats with blankets there for a show. It was insane.Get_Right said:and the locals at red rocks steal all the good seats lol0 -
Normally I agree... 99.9 out of 100 times I would take an arena over an amphitheater, and yeah... I would take Hartford over any other arena for PJ... they absolutely bring it when they play there.Get_Right said:I like arenas not amphitheaters just my thing
Having said that, I saw A Perfect Circle at Red Rocks in 2018, and in 20+ years of hearing Maynard live, he never sounded as good as he did that night. The acoustics there live up to the hype.
I have heard nightmares about GA shows at RR... my buddy was there earlier this year & had a shit experience... said it was chaos. Luckily I've only done assigned seating.
As of now though, having been to venues all over the country as well, I'm hard pressed to think of one I would like to see a show at more than RR. That might change after this spring, we'll see.

And they don’t seem to want to play the gorge which is a head scratcher. Tack on two nights and then Missoula and I’ll be in heaven.droptheleash9 said:It would obviously be a dream to see them there but the fact that it would be a near impossible ticket and thinking of the ensuing bitchfest that would occur here when 9 out of every 10 members would get shut out makes this a no from me dawg.

With you 100% mostly for the reasons already laid out. Hate lining up, hate the rush for all the GA, hate the taping down blankets to claim territory. It's absolutely beautiful and a bucket list visit because it's so visually iconic but I'm good with one and done. What a colossal pain in the balls to see shows there if it was my local.Get_Right said:primussucks said:

I might be but after going to all venues across the us red rocks is overrated.
You can saunter in and sit further up but for places that size I'd much rather consistently get a good reserved seat and not sweat any of that shit.0 -
Seems the amount of GA varies by show?
