Imagine the shitstorm on here after tickets go on sale. There could be a dozen fanclub only shows and people would still lose their shit if they didn't get tickets in the location they wanted for the shows they wanted. Nevermind if they got nothing at all.

I assume this is why they don't play Red Rocks. The venue is small, and the venue is on a lot of peoples bucket lists (including mine). The demand would far exceed the supply of tickets and leave many fans disappointed.
They're finally playing red rocks, but I can't get in!! lol.
True. Play for 2 weeks. 1 or 2 show max per fan. I went to red rocks. Never saw a show there but cool you could just wander around on stage. I pretended I was Bono.
I saw the Avett Brothers at Red Rocks this past summer. First time going. Bucket list for sure. I would be floored if PJ ever played there again.

There are a number of reasons why they don't or won't play Red Rocks. One reason is that a lot of prime dates are booked by the same bands every year but no more than 2 years out. (Used to be 5 years). The 2nd but probably most important reason is an inability to come close to meeting demand. Add these 2 things together and it's highly unlikely we ever see them return to Red Rocks.
Having been to Red Rocks many time over the years including last year for 2 Jason Isbell shows I highly recommend a visit. Even if it is to just walk around during the day.

what are the odds, that Pearl Jam would do a residency anywhere for two weeks.. lol. PJ doesn't seem the kind of band to do that. I think that's a pipe dream Plus if they played every other night that's 7 shows. so 70,000 tickets. Probably still not enough. That's like 3 to 4 arena shows, or 1 really big stadium show.
At best I think they'd do a night or two, as maybe a single random small venue show they sometimes do on tours, but when the tour as little as they do, I don't think they're going to allocate two weeks to small venue shows, when they could travel around and play to more fans at bigger venues.
Play 3 shows, 1 show allowed per ten club member, seniority gets priority!
that wouldn't be nearly enough.
How so? Capacity is 9,545. They play 15k-20k venues all the time. 9,545 X 3=28,635. Again, give priority to seniority then the only ones missing out are newish members.

Just because there wouldn't be enough tickets doesn't mean they should never play it.

i don't think they'd ever to a fan club only set of shows like that. bands that play in 1,500 seat venues here in austin sell out multiple nights at RR. It's a destination show for every fan base and PJ would be able to sell it out as many shows as they agreed to play.
This show, another show, a show here and a show there.

Absolutely. People underestimate the demand for the shows. Red Rocks has been on my bucket list for decades but I missed the boat on seeing bands I want to see there. Meanwhile we've got a whole thread dedicated to people wanting to see PJ there. How many of us are from Colorado? Not I

I didn't say they would, nor do I think they'd need to if they did 3 shows.

Exactly!!
I mean, the bands motif seems to be to try and play in front of as many fans as possible while playing the least amount of shows. 10k venues don't really seem to align with Pearl Jams touring pattern.
Still, it would be cool if they go back one day, I'd be all over trying to get tickets.
