I feel very confident you're in the minority here.
For sound or the setlists or something you could be playing by experience and be right.
From sitting in a venue and looking around?
    I'm on team RR.
If they play there, I am going.  Don't care what it costs.

Give us your top 5. I travel for 3-5 shows a year too and RR is easily my favorite.
This show, another show, a show here and a show there.

    Hard disagree,

In my experience It lives up to the hype. Making a return trip in April for Sessanta & can't wait.

For anyone who’s been to Red Rocks, how can you say it’s overrated? I was completely blown away.

It would obviously be a dream to see them there but the fact that it would be a near impossible ticket and thinking of the ensuing bitchfest that would occur here when 9 out of every 10 members would get shut out makes this a no from me dawg.

Much rather see them at the Gorge, which holds almost 3 times as many people.

I watched a video of the mad dash to mark seats with blankets there for a show. It was insane.

Normally I agree... 99.9 out of 100 times I would take an arena over an amphitheater, and yeah... I would take Hartford over any other arena for PJ... they absolutely bring it when they play there.
Having said that, I saw A Perfect Circle at Red Rocks in 2018, and in 20+ years of hearing Maynard live, he never sounded as good as he did that night. The acoustics there live up to the hype.
I have heard nightmares about GA shows at RR... my buddy was there earlier this year & had a shit experience... said it was chaos. Luckily I've only done assigned seating.

As of now though, having been to venues all over the country as well, I'm hard pressed to think of one I would like to see a show at more than RR. That might change after this spring, we'll see.

seating can be chaotic but the good part is every seat is great.  i've been right up front and in the last row and both were magical.

And they don’t seem to want to play the gorge which is a head scratcher. Tack on two nights and then Missoula and I’ll be in heaven.

With you 100% mostly for the reasons already laid out. Hate lining up, hate the rush for all the GA, hate the taping down blankets to claim territory. It's absolutely beautiful and a bucket list visit because it's so visually iconic but I'm good with one and done. What a colossal pain in the balls to see shows there if it was my local.

You can saunter in and sit further up but for places that size I'd much rather consistently get a good reserved seat and not sweat any of that shit.

Seems the amount of GA varies by show?
