NFL reseeds NBA and NHL do not and I don't believe ever have.eeriepadave said:Johnny Abruzzo said:Well we don't have to worry about the Bucks. That was a pleasant surprise!
Didn't they use to? or am I thinking of hockey?Jearlpam0925 said:
Agreed. The Juggler said:The fact that the NBA doesn't reseed is ridiculous. This weekend we rock Portland0 -
NHL used to reseed when they had conference seeding 1-8. In 2010 the 2nd round was 4 vs. 8 and 6 vs. 7 (the Flyers comeback from 0-3 down in the series and Game 7 at Boston).
And way back in the day when they seeded the whole league 1-16, which was an insane system used for only 2 years - check out the 1980 and 1981 playoffs. So many airline miles!
Now they have a mostly divisional system and there's a "playoff division champion" after the 2nd round. The conference seeding was way better. Of course my team isn't anywhere near the playoffs so it matters not in the slightest.Spectrum 10/27/09; New Orleans JazzFest 5/1/10; Made in America 9/2/12; Phila, PA 10/21/13; Phila, PA 10/22/13; Baltimore Arena 10/27/13; Phila, PA 4/28/16; Phila, PA 4/29/16; Fenway Park 8/7/16; Fenway Park 9/2/18; Asbury Park 9/18/21; Camden 9/14/22; Las Vegas 5/16/24; Las Vegas 5/18/24; Phila, PA 9/7/24; Phila, PA 9/9/24; Baltimore Arena 9/12/24; Pittsburgh 5/16/25; Pittsburgh 5/18/25

Let's do this thing guys.
May the best team win (and go on to the title). This weekend we rock Portland0 -
The Celtics are already +145 to win it all on DraftKings. I would have to think that whichever teams comes out on top will be -150 or so going into the conference finals. Maybe the Sixers would be closer to even money.Poncier said:Let's do this thing guys.

Yeah hearing he's doubtful but if he plays starting with game 1 then he'll be about 60% the rest of the way with a higher chance of injury. But if they wait till game 3 he'll be closer to 90%. I hate to say it, but I think ya gotta hold him out till game 3. God damnit.0

I heard them talking about the article that said this on the Rights to Ricky podcast. Those numbers are extremely hypothetical and coming from a doc that knows nothing about Joel’s specific injury.Jearlpam0925 said:Yeah hearing he's doubtful but if he plays starting with game 1 then he'll be about 60% the rest of the way with a higher chance of injury. The only source that has said “doubtful” is Doc, and he’s going to make it sound like the sky is falling no matter what. Anything to keep the Celtics on their toes.0 -

Kinda think it makes sense to sit him for at least the first one. But if they lose that, I don't think there's anyway he doesn't play in game 2.Post edited by The Juggler onwww.myspace.com0 -
Oh I’m sure you’re right! I’m referencing the article peddling the 60% number and the Debbie downers on the podcast acting as if Joel is a paraplegic. The Juggler said:RiotZact said:

Yes, context is everything. But IF this is the deal then I'd go with plan B.RiotZact said:

But at minimum it seems like sitting him for Game 1 at the least would be best.0 -
Yeah, I’m all for it if it’s truthfully the smart thing to do. Doc teams do tend to over perform in those situations.Jearlpam0925 said:
