This guy is a douche, but I think Ali is probably pointing to certain voting restrictions that will be lifted by a liberal court. Things like drop boxes, unfettered early voting, etc. He's right though. That hurts R for sure and I don't see how they win WI.Merkin Baller said:

Perhaps, but the sentiment is the same... R's believe the only way they can win is by chicanery.mrussel1 said:

She had to have, her reasoning didn't make much sense. If you hate the DNC fine, but go independent.tbergs said:

What's interesting is that she represents Mecklenburg (Charlotte) and beat her R opponent by 20 points. So does she really think she's going win re-election in a blue district? Does she think that many true independents are there that will jump parties? Seems like a stretch. It will interesting to see if she votes to over ride a veto on abortion. If she does, I can't see how she wins. We'll have to keep an eye on this one out of interest.Vitalogensia said:

Admittedly, I don't know a thing about her or NC. That said, I tend to doubt she or anyone really thinks she'll win another election. Kinda like Sinema...Just doing damage for now and later turning it into some other kind of career. My guess from the cheap seats is that either someone's offering her something (money; job) for her soul or she was always planning on this and the GOP essentially ran two candidates. Outside chance she's a legit former Dem that finally bought into whatever right-wing voices got into her ear.mrussel1 said:

Yeah the Sinema thing is vexing as well. What is her play? She can't split the party and win. Is she retiring? Maybe.OnWis97 said:

Sinema is easy. ALWAYS floated to what was expedient for her own agenda. Which seems to be some measure of power and certainly attention.

Ok that's fine if that's her play. So long as she doesn't split the party.Lerxst1992 said:
