Still one of my favorite boots of all time, This one sounds amazing on vinyl.  Too bad porch is cut short because this version is fire.
I have this as well. Love it!

My question then is what is the Give Way RSD sourced from? Is it the FM broadcast or tape?

Will wait to see if 10c offers a coloured variant. When did the gold variant ‘Live on Two Legs’ go on sale. Was it on Record Store Day, or was it the day after?
I got a copy of the gold variant at RSD at Easy Street Records

Have this on CD, I need to listen to this again. What a show! This was night 3, I went to night 1, which was also a banger, but that JJJ broadcast…🔥

We already have Vault #7 (Chicago '95). I'm definitely after the CD this year!

Should have them on the vinyl. Even if the CD is a 1:1 reproduction of the 1998 one.

I have this LP. Great sound. I think I bought it for $27, and I saw one not too long ago sell on eBay for $170. Shame the bootleg will be more complete than the official release, but Pearl Jam does this far too often. Orpheum 1994, Chicago 1995, Easy Street etc.

  • I wish they didn’t go with a show that we’ve all listened to a thousand times. Maybe there’s no more soundboards from the 90’s in the vault or something.

I believe this was going to be free at best buy when you bought single video theory.  I showed up early and got in line with about 15 other people and when they opened the door they told us there's no free cd to go along with it,  so they let us pick another cd for free.  Forgot all about that day until now.

Sweetheart of the Rodeo (The Byrds) was my consolation prize. Turned out to be an all time favorite album at least.
I can't remember which PJ release it was, but I went to my local record store to get some RSD PJ release. There was a long line, as per usual on RSD. The owner of the store walked the line and asked everyone for their first choice, making a list so that he could at least ensure that everyone would get their first pick even if they ran out of other items people might want by the time they were let into the store. I told him that PJ was my first pick. After waiting a couple of hours, I finally got let into the store and they told me they had messed up and run out of the PJ release. As consolation, he gave me Mermaid Avenue: The Complete Sessions by Billy Bragg & Wilco for free. That's a 3-CD set. Wilco is my second-favorite band. And I ended up getting whatever the RSD release was at a later time somewhere else.

EDIT: It looks like this was 2012, so it must have been the Eddie 7-inch released that year with "Love Boat Captain" and "Wishlist."
I gather speed from you fucking with me.

A shop where I buy most of my vinyl are asking people to ‘like’ certain RSD releases on their website and add them to their ‘wish lists’. Fair to say I’ve added Give Way to my wish list. If people don’t show interest they won’t bother trying to get them in. (I’m in Australia). Surely being an Australian release they’ll have plenty of copies! 🤪

For UK, the approximate numbers are the following: 3000 LPs and 1000 CDs.

I emailed my local independent record store my wishlist which includes: Give Way (CD) & Give Way (LP)

There are a ton of these if you don't want to sit in line just watch for them on Discogs.  Obviously wait until stores add their inventory like a day later and you can get one for retail.  Prices will look stupid the day of but those are people just trying to take advantage of people fear of missing it.  Also, Record stores will also sell their leftover stock on their websites as well.

Exactly. 15500 is a huge number.

That is a ton, and it will no doubt be easy to pick up on RSD or later.

But somehow Taylor Swift's 115k of her folklore live performance that is available on disney+ will certainly feel like a tough purchase to some.

If it were something they were only going to listen to once, maybe that would be true, but that's not probably what most people looking to buy it will have in mind. They want to be able to listen to it for years to come. Better to pay $40.00 to own it forever than $8.00 every month to rent it (or whatever Disney+ costs)-- although, in this case, the Disney+ version is video which allows you to look at Taylor, and that's a definite value-add. (It would be even better to pay $15.00 to own it forever on a CD rather than $40.00 on a record, but others' mileage may vary.)
