It's a shame there's another wasted touring year in the works. You would think the drive to perform would be higher after the COVID delay and cancelled shows.0
-
Every day another artist announces a tour. It sucks. Especially knowing there aren’t too many years left. The shows were great last year but let’s face it, there’s a reason for the tempo changes, key changes and setlist changes. They aren’t getting any younger.vedpunk said:It's a shame there's another wasted touring year in the works. If there's no teaser in the Feb. newsletter, then I'm giving up hope on a spring leg."I got memories, I got shit"0

For all the reasons you stated and more, it really does feel like we're in a new era with this band that very few of us are going to like.nicknyr15 said:

Josh isn't going to tie his career to PJ. He is a young man. PJ are old men. I think he will try to be as out there as much as possible to land a gig in a band. He is way too talented to not be an actual member of a band and not just a touring guy. I could be wrong, I don't know the guy.tdawe said:
The question isn’t necessarily “would Pearl Jam tour if Josh wasn’t available?”; it’s more like “would Josh agree to do a Jane’s Addiction tour if Pearl Jam was planning an overlapping one?”yosi said:

The spring tour is 99% deadThat being said, I do agree that chances of a Spring tour seem extremely unlikely.0 -
Would love for the band to be more willing to give us a heads up to their plans. I mean if a spring tour is coming would it not make sense to let your fans know instead of spending our hard earned dollars elsewhere we get to spend it on these guys? I never understood the touring strategy from these guys usually being one of the last bands to announce plans and also keep it a secret the whole time.Post edited by PJNB on0

Fingers crossed there is something. If you add in EV shows those 2017 and 2019 would not be zero (would both be 12 or so). Could this be the worst year yet? Just EV at Innings and Ohana and that’s your lot. Surely notWeston1283 said:Shows by Year since 2009

Agreed, and it’s a bad business decision. Regardless if the band doesn’t care about money, they have people to pay. How you don’t immediately announce another 10 shows in major markets boggles me. Boston, Chicago, Atlanta, Seattle, etc. Each one of those shows are sold out, generating $4M in just ticket revenue, and then merch. If they did that, and then took a break, I would completely understand.PJNB said:Would love for the band to be more willing to give us a heads up to their plans. The 20-30 shows a year is fine with me. And when they do announce something, everyone is going to be crying about $150 tickets. I’d gladly pay that.2003: Uniondale, MSG x2 | 2004: Reading | 2005: Gorge, Vancouver, Philly | 2006: East Rutherford x2, Gorge x2, Camden 1, Hartford | 2008: MSG x2, VA Beach | 2009: Philly x3 | 2010: MSG x2, Bristow | 2011: Alpine Valley x2 | 2012: MIA Philly | 2013: Wrigley, Charlottesville, Brooklyn 2 | 2014: Milan, Amsterdam 1 | 2016: MSG x2, Fenway x2, Wrigley 2 | 2018: Rome, Krakow, Berlin, Wrigley 2 | 2021: Sea Hear Now | 2022: San Diego, LA x2, MSG, Camden, Nashville, St. Louis, Denver | 2023: St. Paul 1, Chicago x2, Fort Worth x2, Austin 2 | 2024: Las Vegas 1, Seattle x2, Indy, MSG x2, Philly x2, Baltimore, Ohana 2 | 2025: Florida x2, Atlanta x2, Pittsburgh x20 -
Agreed. It was nice that DC from dropped the line about Tool touring in the fall. Even if that doesn't pan out, letting us know nothing else will be happening in the spring helps.PJNB said:Would love for the band to be more willing to give us a heads up to their plans. Technically spring goes until June 20… Ed needs to sell innings fest tickets. Early March announcement for early may shows lol"Well, I think this band is incapable of sucking."
-my dad after hearing Not for You for the first time on SNL .0 -
Ed doesn't need to sell Innings Fest tickets. Innings Fest needs to sell Innings Fest tickets.___________________________________________

They just wrapped up a tour in the Fall so Spring always seemed unlikely to me.This show, another show, a show here and a show there.0

The spring tour is 99% deadThat being said, I do agree that chances of a Spring tour seem extremely unlikely.I don’t know Josh either, and I suppose there could be any number of reasons why he might prefer doing tour dates as a fill-in with a 90’s nostalgia act instead of doing tour dates as a fill-in with…uh, Pearl Jam. And it’s also possible that Pearl Jam has thanked him for his service and let him know that he’s not going to be part of any touring plans going forward. But his joining the JA tour is definitely a data point in favor of the conclusion that no Pearl Jam plans are imminent.Camden 2 2006, Newark 2010, Barclays 2 2013, Central Park 2015, MSG 2 2016, Wrigley 1 2016, Rome 2018, Prague 2018, Asbury Park 2021, EV & Earthlings NYC 1 2022, MSG 2022, Louisville 2022, Dublin 2024, MSG 1 2024, MSG 2 20240
