  • The only 99s that matter are that Benny and Gretzky.  The only Benny I’d rather have than my own is that one. The other “Great One”.

Nice O-fer last night by your boy Judge lol.
  • Congrats on the sale! Not going to apologize for detailing the thread, kept it on the front page 😎.

Stats on the bottom graphic are, dare I say, rather Alex Rodriquez-like

Eh… baseball stats are kind of easy to cherry pick and can suffer from a small sample size.  You’re comparing Gretzky and 200+ games to Judge with 80% less games.  Check out Barry Bonds postseason numbers…

And Bonds is a bum…. Not a 99 and irrelevant

Yeah that was an oversight on my part, forgot about that.  Oh well.
I was the original buyer for this item. I wasn't aware that there was an on-going thread on the details of the transaction until I saw this last night. A few details have been left out.

I offered the seller $2500 payment via PayPal. Seller agreed to the price and said I could pay with Friends and Family or Goods and Services + additional $75 to cover fees. I elected to pay Goods and Services method for the buyer protection and submitted payment in the amount of $2600 as gesture of goodwill to make sure all G/S fees were covered. Seller was pleased with the transaction and posted the specifics here.

Later in the day I received a text from the seller that they had cancelled the PayPal transaction because they cannot take a $375 tax hit and that the item is still available if I want to pay via friends and family.

Just do the F&F and have them insure the shit out of that record.  That is what I did when I sold mine.  I then bomb proofed the package so it wouldn't get destroyed.

This is accurate.  I wouldn’t have worried about it if it were a small amount, even $100, but the IRS would have come for 15.3% which would have been around $375, on top of the $75 PayPal service fees, and that is not a transaction I was willing to make for this item.

Apologies again and will only be using F&F going forward.

Uk money is worth  fuck all. Bad time to sell but im gonna have to start soon. Tough  times
If you’re going to sell, now is the time to do it. £1 is not for equal to $1 so you’ll get much more back if selling to someone in the US.

This whole $600 1009 BS is going to cause people some real issues this year.  Just make sure your basis equals your proceeds, and with PJ merch you can get pretty creative on your basis calculations.
