Yeah, he’s been sounding great this year. Some of the ‘18 gigs he had the audience carry every single “thoughts arrive like butterflies”, but this year he seems to be throwing to the crowd just when it’s fun rather than because he can’t do it.Gern Blansten said:

I’m disappointed they cancelled but I can get over that. What I’m sad about is them leaving it so late in the day to cancel, hours after the Merch sales. Loads of us queued in the baking hot heat. Similarly people camped out for GA for a few days. I really think they should do a good will gesture and give all proceeds from today to Ukraine, like they did in Prague. It will soften the blow for many of us. A good will gesture will go a long way

I mean, it’s not 1990s level strong, but this is a bit harsh. It generally holds for a 55(?) year old dude.bootlegger10 said:

I think Ed's voice is the best since 2006! Maybe not for 3 hours shows but amazing how strong it sounded in Budapest.Tim Simmons said:

I think it is as simple as they thought he was going to be ok enough yesterday to play. Some fans that had connections with the crew were told it was a go for both nights. Something happened since they were told that. Was it a huge enough setback that both nights are going to be cancelled we will see. I am hoping the advice Eddie got late was you can do one show with out doing serious damage and they are choosing tonight for more rest.
I honestly do not think it has anything to do with insurance or money or any of that. I believe they are trying to give this as much of a go as they can for the fans. Maybe that is me just being hopeful the band we have loved for so many years would do things.

Before heading off to central Amsterdam from the hotel which is next to the venue, out of curiosity I wanted to see if anyone is queuing for tonight. And there’s about 100 people in line!0
-
They are queuing for Charlie Lownoise and Menthal Theo on the 30th i think0

That’s my hope as well!! I felt worse for you than myself yesterday. Fingers crossed 🤞🏻PJNB said:I think it is as simple as they thought he was going to be ok enough yesterday to play.
