3 weekends in London - RHCP, Stones and PJ. I’m ridiculously skint. Doing both Amsterdam shows. Luckily flight was paid for a while ago and hotel is very cheap (booked as soon as the date changed). After that I can’t afford to do anything till next summer!

Been there! enjoy as much as you can. By the end of my trip, I was praying with each credit card swipe to not get declined.

Thanks London! You know how to do a festival right! An experience this Canuck won’t soon forget!

I love PJ and the shows were fantastic, Pixies, Cat Power, Stereophonics, Johnny Marr all really good to great. However, the Petrol Girls on the Birdcage stage blew every act out of the water I saw at this festival, including PJ. Nobody had their energy. Ren (lead singer) is the best female hardcore punk singer I’ve ever seen.

I get it, not all PJ fans like hardcore. But I fucking love it and I’m glad to see some young people pissed off enough to produce their own take on hardcore. I think there was a little No Wave Sonic Youth influence there also.
Any band who has a kickass song called “Baby, I Had An Abortion” during these times when the minority religious right is exerting it’s influence over the majority get big points in my book. This band has something to say and everyone should listen.

Pixies were amazing. So glad I finally got to see them live after four or five failed attempts either due to illness or their gigs clashing with other Pearl Jam tours!
