    I look up the USPS 2022 calendar and he gets off Columbus Day too. He's salty about an extra day off in June. Dude go to the shore, get a life and quit complaining about everything.

    Must be soul crushing to have beliefs that actively hurt your way of life. I guarantee this person probably hates the USPS, too, and doesn't realize this is his employer. Does he also not realize he's bitching about the wrong holiday? Let him know, "no, man, you should be bitching about Indigenous Peoples Day."

    It still says "Columbus Day" on the USPS holidays website. And he's still whining. Like, we can check this stuff, you know. Ridiculous.

    Al Schmidt is the guy we need to maintain some semblance of balance in city government.

    I was really hoping Al would run for City Council or US Senate. Holding out hope for Mayor, but he's got a pretty good gig with Committee of 70 now.

    World Cup announcement Thursday on Fox.   Heard not only is Philly getting games but also in the running for a semi-final game possibly.  Will be interesting to see how this plays out.

    Wouldn't they play at the Linc? When it first opened I'm pretty sure one of the first sporting events was a soccer game

    Meant where is he seeing that we’re getting a semi final game potentially.

    Yeah the linc, though I do know there were originally conversations that those concerns/stands that cut in from Sideline to end zone would hold us back from getting the World Cup since the field couldn’t be wide enough for that big of a tournament, but I guess they solved for it

    My brother saw story on phone and let me know. I didn’t see it directly but he is pretty dialed in to soccer.  He said story mentioned Nashville might be out because of stadium issues.  Titans want new stadium so won’t put needed money into current stadium.  If they don’t want Met Life to host both a semi and the Final I could see us getting Semi.  Fox Sports at 5:00 on Thursday for the city announcement 

    looks like having a watch party at Love Park for announcement

    I don't know how they find such terrible relief pitchers year after year. Like, it must be hard to do.

    Why can't Middleton just hire a couple people from the Rays and implement their whole pitcher scouting & development system? Don't we have more money than them? I just don't understand.

    Mastriano is more popular than Oz, which isn't saying much. But to know Fetts is running ahead in polling yet Shapiro is running tighter with this psycho says a lot, and makes me incredibly nervous. And even worse is the Dems want to keep running dumb ads that are the equivalent of what Hillary ran in 2016 against Trump, where the message was to instill fear of what-ifs and reveal their idiocy. Like that works, look how that turned out. Just an absolute garbage state outside of the city-ish area.

    I'm just gonna say, the strategy of insulting swaths of voters in the middle of the state hasn't worked super well in the past. Just saying.

    Shapiro is a vanilla candidate, uber qualified though he is. It's gonna take a massive canvassing and GOTV mobilizing effort to defeat Pazz-triano (pazzo is Italian for crazy). I'm attending deep canvassing training tomorrow to go after the POTUS voters who ignore the mid-terms. I think I get assigned 35 voters to work on.
