They won’t, but it’s almost a shame if they don’t play Sac and Vegas in between Denver and Ohana.  It is so, so doable.

Wish I could go if PJ Plays, but I can only choose one more west coast trip this year, and that’ll be for the Taylor Hawkins show.

Ohana is a great festival, so hopefully 1-2 nights for PJ
I'll be at Taylor tribute too

Unless its announced as some sort of PJ32 /acoustic show/special event this is very unexciting for another LA crowd that won't sell out and even shorter setlist if it is in fact PJ playing.  Hoping to see some October shows get billed for voting push.  TX would be good - this place needs change.

Just booked a room at the Double Tree just in case, hope it's a good line up!

Had this thread bookmarked just so I could come back to it when Encore was announced. Never give too much credit to "insight" that is provided without a source. This writer obviously didn't do his homework when stating that there wouldn't be an Encore this year and made an assumption based on the initial lineup drop.
your so right, I totally agree. There were many clues it was happening...

Fun Fact:  PJ played more songs (26) the final night of Ohana last year than they did at all of their concerts this year.  Give me PJ in Ohana over LA any day!!!!

The only critique I would have for the ohana shows was that the set lists were very similar

Given that all of the promo for the encore has featured Ed/Earthlings, and the accompanying song is from the Earthling record, I'd be surprised if Pearl Jam played that weekend, but it'd be a very pleasant surprise.

My guess is the Earthlings headline one night and KOL the other. Unfortunately no PJ. Just my guess. Hopefully wrong

Earthlings could be tough with Chad Smith/RHCP playing the Austin City Limits festival in Texas the same weekend. I suppose RHCP could play Friday and Chad could fly out for Ohana immediately after, but there's also the issue of Glen Hansard saying he isn't going to be leaving his country to perform for the rest of 2022 for family reasons.

With Glen Hansard not traveling to the states this year, I'm guessing there's a better chance of a few Earthling songs on his solo headlining night during the first weekend. EV could headline one night and PJ headlines the second night of Encore, but I'm guessing they'll have a better chance of selling tickets if they have PJ headline both nights again.

True, I didnt know about RHCP. For some reason I thought their tour was over in September. Well, hopefully we get two PJ nights!

I would honestly be shocked if this is not the PJ double bill again.  I'm a lock to come back if that is the case - had the best time last year (did both weekends) and vowed to go every year if PJ plays.

Encore has always been in the works and Pearl Jam is almost certainly playing. If they aren't then there was no reason to cram all of the California shows into Leg 1. Spread those shows out between spring and fall and they sell better, but that couldn't be done because it would tank Encore's ticket sales.
