It wasn’t until I saw the Unplugged performance of Johnny Guitar that I felt the depth of the emotion and feeling in that song. Nothing at all like the Unplugged version of Black 🤣

I heard that Ed didn't really have food poisoning in Fresno. He was just sick to his stomach because he wanted to play Johnny Guitar again, but he and the band just don't know if they could handle rocketing back to the top at this stage in their lives.
Sometimes I see this thread and lose faith in humanity. I know Black is a great song, but comparing Black to Johnny Guitar is like comparing The Departed to Goodfellas. Johnny Guitar deserves the "Oscar", not The Departed.
I had to check if I ever caught JG live. Just once, 2010 in Berlin. I have absolutely no recollection. Black on the other hand on the very same night was out of this world.
Paul how could you possibly vote for black over johnny guitar? I know you had a few cosmos during the cocktail hour but how could you forget when your entire bridal party came out to Johnny Guitar at the reception; all 650 guests went absolutely nuts!
