If anyone thinks that I’m exaggerating please listen to the one and ONLY other time Pearl Jam was here. Oct 27 2000 bootleg. Eddie even references how shitty the crowd is. 🤣🤣🤣

    Peace,Love and Pearl Jam.

10/27/00 - Selland Arena: Fresno, CA
    support act: Supergrass
set: Interstellar Overdrive/Corduroy, Breakerfall, Whipping, Last Exit, Hail Hail, Animal, Dissident, Nothing As It Seems, Untitled, MFC, Habit, I Got Shit, Daughter/(Another Brick In The Wall), Even Flow, State of Love and Trust, Black, Parting Ways
enc 1: Soon Forget, Better Man, Insignificance, Do The Evolution, Footsteps, Rearviewmirror
enc 2: Indifference, Rockin' In The Free World
notes: After 'Dissident,' Ed addresses the crowd, how they've never played Fresno but they've passed through it going 65-70 mph. He also mentioned that he had gone to the doctor because he'd been sick, "so the singer's on drugs tonight" and asked if anyone else was...there were cheers and then he said, "ah Fresno, I wouldn't expect anything less of you." After 'MFC,' Ed then apparently tells a joke about an Australian guy who got a tattoo on his ass of Yogi bear. He then intro'd Habit as "this is a song about looking into a dark hole and getting sucked into it." The "speaking as" line was, "speaking as Mike McCready with more tattoos than anyone else in the band." During 'Even Flow,' Ed is smoking during the solo break, and then goes over and puts his cigarette into Mike's mouth as he finishes. After "Black" Ed says, "That last song was about being in love and it's all over, this next song is about something scarier, being in love and you know it's going to end soon," and the band goes into 'Parting Ways.'

Thank you to 5H for the recap and 100 Pacer for the post.

There is a point in the show where he addresses the crowd and says that it’s not the normal energy or something the band is used too. Which is weird cause the crowd on the boot sounds loud. I was stationed in North Carolina at the time and caught the Greensboro show as my first PJ show. I laughed my ass off in Carolina when I heard the boot. Typical Fresno. A shit hole.

Full disclosure. I left and came back so who’s the real dumb ass. Me. And now I’m stuck for at least 20 more years. FML. ☠️☠️🤯🤯
    Peace,Love and Pearl Jam.

Why would they even go to Fresno?
Why not come to Long Beach, we have a few large arenas like the Long Beach Convention Center, they used to play ice hockey here.
Then again I guess it's pretty close to L.A. so that would be redundant.

  • Seriously, Fresno is such a shit hole that when you ask people who live here what’s so great about it and their answer always is the same.

“You’re like a hour and a half from the mountains and 2.5 hours to the beach.”

The best thing about this place is the road trips you have to take to leave it. Wow. We are lucky to live here.

I guess now we can say. Well Pearl Jam played here twice and only 22 years between shows. We are lucky. Hail hail.
This is why I never talk shit about Fresno or the people who live there. They go through enough as it is

Some people know the tracks by album better than I do but on a quick glance I don’t think they’ve played any Riot Act songs so far on the tour.  I’ve previously thrown out a full RA album prediction for Fresno.  Sets up nicely doesn’t it. Why not? Moline 2.0.

Maybe Ed got angry at Oak2 because he remembered Fresno is next. 😆
I've seen quite a few Pearl Jam shows.

When exactly would they have rehearsed this?  The drummer is in quarantine.
