Lucky…too rich for my blood. Bronze lawn all the way back :( you are gonna have a great time, but then again so am I.   I’ve always gotten lucky with good seats, but this time I missed those cheap pit tickets before they went to the secondary market.  Have a blast

It was pretty great overall.  I’m no stones expert, but I believe this was my 5th show since 98.  There were a couple moving tributes to charlie.  Steve Jordan is amazing on drums, I think Keith sounded off at times because he is used to Charlie following him, rather than Steve setting the pace.  Some songs started a little sloppy but once they got going and and Keith locked into the groove, it sounded like classic amazing Rolling Stones.  They gave Keith an out of tune guitar at the start of Gimme Shelter, but quickly gave him a different in tune guitar, kind of messed up the classic opening riff but they didn’t stop for a second.   For the most part it was excellent. Charlie’s loss is definitely apparent to the overall feel.  So glad I was able to go.  Oh yeah Mick still has “it”!  Ronnie was a great lead player as always.  Darryl Jones locked it down and they gave him a feature bass solo in Miss You that was funky as hell.

Cool review of the show, thanks.  Sounds like a great time!

Love reading this stuff.  A bit melancholy about it all, as I know sooner or later (probably sooner, in the wake of Charlie), this will all end. Even just following along has been a blast. I watched most of Nashville through someone’s FB live stream.  I’ll probably do the same for the small show they’ve got left…

Should I go see them in Sthlm? Have never seen them. Would imagine this is the last chance. In one way the chance has already passed.

They are an expensive ticket, but if you haven't seen them, you should go.  They are still great live and of course the music... so so good.

Talked with someone I know, who told me he's not going "I saw them on the European Tour in 1976. It was to late to see them even then".

Well I would disagree with that.  1976 was still peakish Stones.  They had yet to put out Some Girls, which I think is a great record.

I mean sure, they were better in 1969, better in 73, better in 76.  But those tours aren't options.  So if you want to see the all time greatest dirt bag rock band live, this is your option.  They won't be better if they tour in 2024.

YES.  Go.  Do it.  You'll know most of the songs.  They are great, still today.  I agreement with Russel...not as good as 76 I'm sure, but who was even alive then. LOL.  Not me.  Do it.

You can always try for Lucky Dip tickets. They're usually around a $100/pair. The catch is you have to buy a pair and don't know where your seats are until you pick up the tickets day of show. Upside is you could end up with pit tickets, which are usually about $500 each. Worst case is you get nosebleeds.

I went to the Seattle 2019 show. The last big concert I saw before Covid started.  I don't regret it at all.  Sure they're probably not as good as they were in their youth, and they have backing musicians to help keep it all together.   They were still pretty good, and when you have songs that epic and the whole stadium is singing a long.. it's a good time.   I'd wanted to go since the steel wheels tour in the 80s, but I was a kid and had no means to go.  They played my area pretty rarely, so it was the first chance I got where something didn't conflict.  Decided I better go while I still can.

I think that can be said for most classic rock bands/musicians now.  If you're thinking about seeing one of them, go do it, because you might not get another chance :(

Told my friend to try to get me a ticket. I'll settle for, what you in the states refer to, sitting up in the nosebleeds and just join the party.

Too bad they didn't play the west coast. But hoping Paul McCartney will, if he plays here again.

Go.  It is so worth it.  I've seen them 5 times now since 98.  An expensive ticket but worth every penny.  There won't be many chances left as they are closer to the end than the beginning.

Have a ticket of the "worst seats in the house" variety. Will be fun.
