This is a Danny Wimmer Present event.
The fact they are playing one of these is the opening for others down the line
Hmmm...Aftershock is also Danny Wimmer and they need a replacement for the Foo Fighters. But Pearl Jam is already playing Sacramento. Part of me wants to see another California show announced just to see this forum's reaction to it, lol.

Some great line ups for this years festival.  Louisville has a few A+ festivals these days.
Great to see, good folks and a pretty nice place.

… maybe this will inspire the fellas to play KFC yum yum center next year.

Apparently the rumor is they won't play the Yum! Center due to season ticket holders getting first dibs or something. Maybe PJ Premium changes this?!  :D

Agreed. With them playing 9/10, 9/11, 9/14, and then 9/16 thru 9/18. I doubt they add any more shows that week.
Yes. 7 shows in 9 days won't happen these days.

We said the same about 3 shows in 3 days as recently as this morning.
    I know. Hope I'm wrong.

I still think they will play somewhere on 9/13

Ideally Jones Beach, UBS or Uniondale. 19 years since their last visit on Long Island.

I'd like to see them go back to Uniondale and play Bu$hleaguer again and see what type of reaction it gets this time around.

When was the last time they played 3 shows in a row? Hopefully Nashville doesn’t take a hit fri night.
It was probably back in 2003 when they played 3 straight nights multiple times that tour.  I see you were at the show in Birmingham that year on that frigid night almost 19 years ago to this very day.  It does not get that cold very often in the deep south in April.  It was my second show ever and first as a 10C member.  I joined immediately after my first show in Atlanta in 2000.  Great show that night in Birmingham with Go as an opener.  I see you went to Atlanta as well in 2003.  Great show as well.  Played Crown of Thorns which at the time was I think only the second time it had been played.  I also bought tickets for Nashville that year but was not able to make it.  I see you were there.  The bootleg was good.  They played Bu$hleaguer that night during all the controversy surrounding it. They also tagged Betterman with "Wild Thing!  You make my heart sing!" which was cool to me.  I really hope I can get a ticket to Nashville this year.  When they originally went on sale it was not a good time for me at all.  I had no job, no money, and three small children to support.  That's all behind me now and really hope I get to go.  I got tickets to Vegas though and can't wait.  It's amazing what 19 years does.  I had horrible seats in Atlanta in 2003 with no seniority, I was practically back in the lawn section to now getting row A on the floor in the reserved section in Vegas.  I guess all those people that were ahead of me in 2003 have just moved on to other things and let their 10C membership lapse.

That was also 20 years ago when they were all in their mid/late 30's. Been a long time. But they'll figure it out.

Wife is a huge Elle king fan.

We’re going to Nashville to see my favorite band, so it was only fair that we made it work to go see one of her faves a few hours away the next day.

Saw crowded house last night to open their tour. Liam plays lead and Elroy is on drums in their Dreamers line up.

Amazing show. Age just does not affect the great Neil finn.
Yeh I've seen Pearl Jam, too. But I can't remember the dates.

Not a big fan of Liam’s voice.  I downloaded the new album and can hear the Liam influence.  Not bad but just not a fan. Excited to see Crowded House though.  Saw them at the Ryman a while ago.

    Thank you!

Yeah… this current CH era is not my favorite, I saw the ‘07-‘16 incarnation live several times and it was amazing, this one is good (at least per the filmed show they released from their 2021 tour), but it’s a bit sterile.

Went for EV a few years back. Stay Downtown near 4th St (I believe). a great downtown area. I think I stayed at Seelbach (Hilton). Great location. The Brown hotel is supposed to be nice too. Lot's of things to walk to (Louisville slugger, food, entertainment, etc).

One suggestion for transportation to the festival...It's not that far from downtown (5-10 miles). I suggest driving yourself, if you can, or maybe shuttles? We did an Uber to the festival. After the shows the Uber line was a mile long (hours in wait time). we ended up walking back (not easy) and got lucky catching a cab with some other pedestrians walking. Maybe they've figured out/improved the transportation issue but I would drive next time.

Yep.  Splurged on these at this price… should have got them sooner at $219 when I first heard about PJ playing the festival.  I guess it pays to wait, huh?  Oh, well.

It’s not the same location as the 2017 fest.

This is great advice, thank you, much appreciated. We live in Maine and are flying into Nashville that Wednesday. Then we are renting a car and driving to Louisville on that Saturday. Staying two nights in Louisville as flghts back home were wayyyyy cheaper on the Monday. Might hit the festival Sunday, we'll see.
Im sure the parking situation is going to be a complete nightmare, but the thought of waiting hours for an uber is far from appealing.
    Thanks again!

There appear to be a decent number of hotels within walking distance to the festival, am I wrong? Maybe not the most happening part of Louisville, but in terms of not having to worry about parking or getting to the show, seems like some decent options.
