Ed even apologized a bit for playing songs we haven’t heard yet.

Why do they schedule the tours like this then? Gigaton was going to tour partially before the album dropped as well. Does the hype from the live shows help drive the album sales which helps drive ticket sales for the remainder of the tour? There must be a secret formula.
I've been giving this some thought, too. My best guess: in case their songs suck! 🎵

Yep that dirty water song at fenway. Blahhh. Sure it was fun to hear DF. It's all getting kind of messy. I can't stop feeding into it. May need shock therapy or something.
  • People need to chill out, man. Just some dudes playing music - I'm just grateful these shows are going on.

I have burned all of my PJ items.  It may not have been the best idea to do in my apartment and environmentally, but such is the position I was put in when Ed played Dirty Frank with another band.

To me, it makes a lot more sense having Ed perform "Dirty Frank" than having Pearl Jam perform it. "Where's Mike McCready?" doesn't make a whole lotta sense if he's right there!

That’s a conservative estimate.  Who is a hardcore side gig fan but not a main attraction fan?

same goes for a true Ed solo show.  I can’t imagine hardcore fans of him and a guitar who don’t like the full band.

I just can’t think of who they are fans of if they are attending one of these shows if it’s not PJ, Glen maybe 🤔

There are casual fans too don’t forget. Hey I know that guy, something to do on a Friday evening. Met some folks who picked up tickets outside.

The dirty frank move is annoying. The more annoying part is that the tour dates are being held until after the Ed tour to maximize Eds theater sales. This is just prioritizing Eds fantasy project over pearl jam and a loyal fanbase that are trying to plan their summer around the return of their favorite band. Reminds me a lot of when Ed cutoff alcohol sales at the Ryman at 9 and continued to drink wine on stage all night. #notforyou
Yeah because no venue cuts off booze while the performers continue drinking. Entitled bitches this fan base is becoming. Fantasy project? Every member has a side band, did you just start listening during Covid?

Been chasing Dirty Frank for more than 50 shows…. Teased in Boston and scratched out at the Vic. Really disappointed this made its return at a non Pearl Jam show and not for Pearl Jam fans.  Would have also been great to get some of our rescheduled dates before a new band tour.  Honestly, not sure what’s going on here.
Maybe stop "chasing songs". Go listen to a bootleg with it on and stop treating it like some sport.

Normally I agree but with the difficulty of tickets, small venue and cost etc that probably weeded a lot of the causal fans out.  A ton of hardcore fans were pissed at getting denied tickets judging by the boards at ticket confirmation day.  There are a lot of bands I would see if they were in town, if tickets are a hassle that’s usually when I pass.  I think these tickets definitely were not an easy get

I just turned in my fan club number.  The nerve of Ed playing a song people have been chasing.  Unreal.
